Television legend Anne Robinson has lived a fascinating life, and there's nothing she won't talk about.

The broadcaster has remained one of the UK's most enduring stars since she presented BBC's The Weakest Link from 2000 to 2017. Anne then came back into the spotlight when she took over Channel 4's popular game show Countdown in 2021 for a year.

Now reportedly in a romantic relationship with Queen Camilla's ex-husband - the 79-year-old star made headlines recently after it was reported she is secretly dating Andrew Parker Bowles. What's more, Camilla approves, according to a source. Here, we take a look at her rumoured love life and her cosmetic surgery confessions.

The television star has been married twice before to two journalists - with her second divorce reportedly setting her back £20million. In 2017, she admitted that she didn't get on with dating apps, and dubbed Tinder 'slim pickings'.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I wouldn't date any of the men on Tinder. I deleted it and wouldn't even know how to get the account back. I don't want to date someone bald and with a moustache. It is slim pickings out there! I would rename Tinder 'desperate'."' However, she added that she still enjoys an active sex life - and that age is no barrier. "I hope all women my age are having sex, why wouldn't they be? It's what keeps me young," she said.

Anne reportedly met Camilla's ex-husband Andrew, 83, through a mutual friend, and despite their differing upbringings, quickly hit it off. Andrew, who used to be in the military, is said to have wooed the presenter with his culinary talents, according to a source.

"Annie remains fiercely independent and while she has staff, who regularly whip up meals for the pair, she's been impressed with Andrew's own cooking skills. The Brigadier and the Queen of Mean does have a certain ring to it - but there's no chance of them living together as she's far too self-sufficient," an insider told the Sun.

As for Anne's relationship with Andrew, it's understood that the pair "get on splendidly" despite the fact they come from completely different backgrounds. "Annie proudly tells everyone she is the daughter of a market trader chicken-seller and is as far removed from a toff as could be - frankly it beats any storyline The Crown could possibly come up with," the source added. "She makes him laugh, a lot, and he is one of the few people to get away with poking fun at her."

Cosmetic surgery confession

The game show host recently confessed to secretly having work done while fronting The Weakest Link, and shared her regrets. The presenter said she should have waited after going under the knife before debuting her new look on TV. Anne, who was nearing 60 at the time, said in 2022: "When you have cosmetic surgery it is a bit like taking a leg of lamb out of the oven. You have to let it rest for a bit.

"I went on television quite quickly afterwards and it was a famous headline which said 'This face is the Weakest Link' as it was quite blown up." The presenter said she was glad she had been honest in admitting she had work done in 2004. She said: "I think you are only as sick as your secrets. It is very hard to be pretending you have not had a facelift. When I was first on television there were quite a few presenters who were the same age as me and now they are all younger. It seems easier to just be open about it."

In 2021, Anne revealed she wanted a second facelift ahead of her first appearance as the new host of Countdown, but lockdown regulations meant the procedure was cancelled. She joked the only procedure she was able to have was "the one that's like taking layers off the M40. Possibly dermabrasion?"

Speaking to Best magazine, Anne said she had her first facelift after watching herself present Watchdog. "I'd watch it back and I'd see my mother talking. I thought I'd quite like to look a bit better than that. Once I'd had the facelift in 2004, it felt unfair if I didn't say I'd had it," admitted Anne. "I didn't expect the headlines it got - but, at the time, no one admitted to having anything done."

  • The Weakest Link: Christmas Special airs on BBC One at 8:10pm tonight on Saturday, December 23.
