American compares US and UK McDonald's Big Macs with surprising results
McDonald’s is a guilty pleasure for many of us - who doesn’t love a cheeky Cheesy B when you’re peckish? One of the best things about the fast food giant’s grub is that it is always consistent in both quality and taste, and you’d be forgiven for thinking it would be the same anywhere else in the world.
However, one American man took it upon himself to try out restaurants on either side of the Atlantic Ocean to see who does McDonald’s best. Michael Rizzo, a YouTuber and influencer, shared his findings with his followers on TikTok.
First up, the US McDonald's, where Michael tried Chicken McNuggets, a Big Mac, and a Fillet-O-Fish. He commented: “It didn't take us long to order, and it only took us four minutes for our food.” Digging into the good, Michael awarded each item ‘Rizz’ points, giving the nuggets 4.2, and telling viewers that he wasn’t a fan. The fish burger didn’t go down well, scoring a measly 2.7 Rizz points.
Last but not least was the Big Mac, with Michael referring to it as the “American McDonald's favorite”. Enjoying that the most, he gave it a healthy 7.5 Rizz points. A respectable score for US McDonald’s - but can the UK beat it?

Showing off the UK restaurant, Michael revealed he was overwhelmed by how big it was. He told fans: “Now, I've never seen a McDonald's with two floors, I've also never seen a McDonald's this busy.” Complaining that the menu was “confusing”, and it didn’t seem to be going well for Blighty.
He continued: “I didn't even know what to order.” Michael then asked a member of staff what she thought he should order but was met with a slightly vacant expression. With things going from bad to worse, only the food could save UK McDonald’s from complete failure.
Michael went on: “We only waited a little over 10 minutes for our food. Here's what we got. The Chicken Select, the Philly Cheese Stack, and the Big Mac.” Going in to try the select first. Comparing it to the Nuggets, Michael was suitably impressed and gave it a massive 8.3 Rizz points.
After sampling the Philly Cheese Stack, the TikToker remarked that it was a “really good burger”, and awarded it a huge 8.9. Unfortunately, the universal leveler - the Big Mac - didn’t go down as well as its US alternative, getting just 6.9 points. However, despite its setbacks, Michael told fans that the UK McDonald’s was the overall winner.
Brits in the comments were thrilled with the conclusion and rushed to share their thoughts. One person wrote: “See US may have bigger portions but UK taste better.” Another user added: “I’m from uk but in Florida right and the biggest mcds in the world is a 5 min walk away, but what a dissapointment, there sides were only fries.”
And someone else agreed, adding: “I’ve always thought US maccys were better as they are the original but maybe not.”
