The gloves are off in 2024!
The boxing calendar has multiple dates already marked in early 2024, with Quebec the host city for what it could be a big-hitting `bout on July 13 th . Artur Beterbiev will defend his WBC, WBO and IBF light heavyweight belts against former champion Callum Smith, in a rescheduled title match.
Beterbiev is the 5/19 favourite as things stand, with the travelling Smith a 27/10 outsider.
A week later and Smith’s fellow Scouser Natasha Jonas entertains Mikaela Mayer at the M&S Bank Arena. Jonas, the two-weight world champion, will be making a first defence of the IBF crown against the former unified world champion Mayer, in a huge night for women’s boxing.

Jonas is the narrow favourite at 8/11 in the To Win Fight market, with her US opponent priced at 11/10.
In another rescheduled matchup, Joshua Buatsi is the 2/7 favourite to see-off domestic rival and former sparring partner Dan Azeez, when the two clash on February 3 rd . Azeez, 11/4, was forced to withdraw from a scheduled light-heavyweight dust up with Buatsi in October due to a back injury
And finally, something a little bit more heavyweight.
Saturday 17 th February. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk.
For the first time in almost twenty five years, the boxing heavyweight division will crown an undisputed champion. Tyson Fury will put his WBC belt on the line, with Oleksandr Usyk’s WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts the prize if the ‘Gypsy King’ can prevail.
Likewise, Ukraine’s Usyk will be aiming to seize Fury’s title, just as he did when outclassing Anthony Joshua to become heavyweight champion.
Heading into the New Year and it is Tyson Fury who is the current favourite, having been installed at 4/6, with his Ukrainian opponent, who has yet to be beaten himself, priced at 6/5.

Engines ready in the New Year!
