Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi shared a health update with fans after being rushed to the hospital.

The TV personality took to social media to tell her 264,000 followers that she underwent a series of tests after suffering 'health palpitations'. Jess, who suffers from lupus, took to her Instagram Stories to ask her 'lupus followers' after suddenly being very short of breath.

She said: "To my lupus followers, I have been very short of breath today, and I'm now wheezing when I breathe in, has anyone who has lupus suffered from this with a cough and if so do I need to get checked? (I tried to call my GP earlier this next appt is 16 weeks time)."

Several hours later, she returned to share a picture of her hand after undergoing an ECG. Jess wrote: "OK little update and thanks to everyone messaging me - I've had X-rays on my lungs and bloods done and ECG because of my heart palpitations, now waiting in hospital - thank you to the lupus community you're amazing."

Last year, Jess opened up about being seen as a reality star and how she was trying hard to shake off the label. The star trained at stage school but found herself heading down the reality route for her big break on TV. She had a stint on Ex On The Beach and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.

A Prime Video mockumentary, Keep Calm & Carry On, which launched on the Amazon streaming service last year, led her on a path to becoming a comedy star and she previously told The Mirror that it took having "belief in herself" to help others have belief in her. Jess said: "I trained my whole life at theatre school on a full scholarship and I’m very proud of that.

"I worked so hard for it but in my early twenties I definitely lost my way which I talked about in my book ‘Silver Linings’." Jess continued to describe the difficulties she has encountered: "I feel that reality TV is a hard label to shake but at the same time I am very determined and I absolutely love what I do and what I trained to do as an actor.

"I know that soon I’ll be known for that rather than a show made nearly ten years ago. I’m just grateful that I’ve managed to bring back belief in myself and therefore the belief in me from others and I’ll continue to keep my head down and work my butt off to continue living my dream."

Jess said that the mockumentary was a completely different experience from what she had been involved in before.
