Jamie Laing has revealed he once ruined Christmas because of a gift his sister received.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 35, has opened up about how he's spending his first Christmas with his wife, Sophie Habboo after the pair tied the knot earlier this year. But while he hopes this year will go to plan with no drama, that hasn't always been the case for Jamie.

As with most family Christmases, drama is never too far away and that applies to the Laing family. Jamie revealed that he once scared his sister, Emily so much, that she broke her new Nintendo Wii before the festive day was plunged into chaos.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Jamie said: "My sister got given a Nintendo Wii and I scared her so much, that she broke the whole thing. She wouldn't give it to me so I scared her and she broke it. Honestly, it ruined Christmas." This year, Jamie is preparing for new Christmas traditions.

He and his wife Sophie are spending their first Christmas as a married couple with her family, which he believes will be "amazing." He said: "We're going to spend it with my father-in-law and her sister, we're not doing it with my parents for the first time, we're going to their family. We can't wait, it's going to be amazing and her dad is awesome, it's going to be great."

But while many Brits sit down with loved ones to play games during the festive day, Jamie admits that he and his loved ones will more than likely be found playing Charades – but many will struggle to guess Quantum of Solace or Matilda if he's tasked with trying to reveal the movies to his family.

Although many recognise Jamie from his reality days, he has since gone on to build the UK's fastest confectionary company with Candy Kittens. "We're 12 years now which is just amazing," he said before adding: "We started it with £3,000 and built it up to the fastest confectionery company in the UK.

"I think people rest on governments to make differences and it doesn't really work that way." But Jamie also touched on the preconceptions that people have about him given his family links to McVitie's digestive biscuit. His great-great-grandfather, Sir Alexander Grant created the fan favourite with many believing that Jamie comes from a family with billions sitting in the bank.

"I don't really mind, I did a TV show for many years which talks about people being posh right," he said before continuing: "I understand the misconception in loads of different ways. It's totally fine if that's what people perceive me as, so be it, it's ok, I think other people deal with so much more."

Jamie recently teamed up with Sainsbury's to launch their Ho Ho Hosting Masterclasses just in time for Christmas and admits he was worried about hosting Christmas with his new wife, Sophie Habboo. He said: "Sainsbury's wanted a masterclass and I came along to be the person to not know what's going on, know how to make the perfect soiree for people who want to do Christmas.

"There are a huge amount of people who don't host anything because they're too scared or nervous to, I was there to show people who are scared and nervous that it's kind of fun and you can get involved in lots of different ways, so it's really fun."

It comes as 40 percent of non-hosts believe they would never host a Christmas dinner event, while four out of five novices have no plans to change this year. Research shows that over a third of millennials are yet to host a Christmas Dinner for friends, family and loved ones, while the free Ho Ho Hosting Masterclass is open to all ages. As well as hosting hacks, they were able to learn how to cook and serve the newest products in the Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Christmas range, including the Buttermilk Turkey with Maple Cured Bacon, No Beef Wellington, a selection of canapés, Cookie Torte and the Spruced Up Sticky Toffee.
