Nottingham Forest FC - A correction
Our article 'Premier League club could face transfer ban amid fury over unpaid fees' published on 2 December 2023 stated that it had been reported that the Nottingham Forest Football Club hadn’t paid the agents’ fees owed, and that 'with a number of agents and advisors scrambling for their money, The FA could be asked to put a transfer embargo in place until they get their cash'.
We have been asked to clarify that in fact, agents do not have the ability to request or compel The FA to put a transfer embargo in place, since they are not defined as ‘Football Creditors’ under The FA rules. We are happy to clarify that there was no threat of an embargo and apologise for any confusion caused.
