Zara McDermott hospitalised days before Christmas as she shares update from bed
Love Island star Zara McDermott revealed she was hospitalised as she shared a positive update from her hospital bed.
The TV personality, who recently appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, took to her Instagram Stories to share a selfie from the hospital. In the snap, she wore candy cane patterned pyjamas as she held her hand to her face. A hospital band was on her wrist and she was connected to an IV drip.
Zara looked relaxed as she smiled for the camera. "Had a little procedure done yesterday! Now ready for a super chilled Xmas," the star wrote. The star didn't elaborate on what procedure she had done. In recent weeks, Zara has been busy supporting her boyfriend Sam Thompson on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The former Made In Chelsea star was crowned King of the Jungle after weeks of gruelling challenges and vile food trials.

The star recently took part in Strictly Come Dancing (instagram.com/zara_mcdermott)Last week, viewers were in tears watching Sam video call Zara after leaving the Australian camp. It was the first time they spoke since he left for the show and he made sure to tell her how much he missed her. Sam's pal Pete Wicks was on hand to greet him after he won the show, with them hugging it out in sweet scenes minutes after he stormed to victory.

But as soon as the show was over, Sam wasted no time in contacting his girlfriend who had thrown a huge Team Sam party at home, as she and Sam's loved ones watched the final. Calling Zara, he told her: "Poodle... oh baby goose. I miss you so much tiny little poodle. Nose bop, nose bop, nose bop." The pair then burst into tears, as Zara asked how he was.
Zara was then quick to share what had been going on back at home, speaking of the party: "I had about fifty people over, we had the best party ever!” She then reunited him with his beloved cats, before Sam declared she was "the most amazing girlfriend in the world".
Viewers watching at home confessed they were "crying their eyes out" over the scenes between the couple. Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Crying my eyes out over Sam and Zara’s call."
Another said: "Why am I crying my eyes out at Sam & Zara nose bobbing on FaceTime!" A third added: "Awh Sam you’re so cute!!!!" as a fourth wrote; "Sam crying when he spoke to Zara," with a sad emoji face. Zara has been supportive through Sam's entire I'm A Celeb journey.
Over the weeks, she took to social media to show her watching him on TV as she cheered him on from home. Sometimes, Sam and Zara's family came over to watch him as a group.
