Charley Webb came within moments of an awkward meeting with estranged husband Matthew Wolfenden's rumoured new girlfriend.

The actress so nearly bumped into his rumoured new love interest Heather Scott-Martin at his theatre performance just weeks after they called time on their five-year marriage. This weekend he furiously denied ever cheating on his wife, but he is said to have already moved on.

Former Emmerdale star Charley, 35, and Matthew, 43, who share three children together Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four, met on set and began dating in 2007 before revealing they were expecting their first child in 2009. The actor angrily denied any reports that he's been unfaithful to Charley but the last thing she would have wanted was to meet up with his new love interest. He now reportedly dating professional dancer and personal trainer Heather, with the pair being spotted on a cosy night out in London.

He took his kids to watch him in Elf The Musical in at The Dominion Theatre in London's West End on Saturday and Charley was clearly on hand to help get there to the venue. A source told The Sun: “She was trying not to be seen with him, standing away from the stage door when he emerged from show rehearsals and shows. But now the cat is out of the bag. Heather is a clean cut, popular woman who was desperate not to be painted as Matthew’s ‘other woman’. She’s not happy about being thrust into the conversation of his celebrity marriage breakdown.”

Heather is currently working as the Swing and Dance captain in the West End musical, while Matthew stars in the production as Buddy. In a recent report, it was claimed Matthew started dating Heather before he split from Charley. But in a new post on Instagram shared with his 198,000 followers, Matthew says it is just not true. Along with a screenshot of him and Heather holding hands from an article about his new relationship with his co-star, he said: "Just to set the record straight.
