Gemma Collins is full of "hope and joy" as she looks forward to becoming a mum in 2024.

Sources claim that the former The Only Way Is Essex star believes that the New Year is the "perfect time" to start her own family with her fiancé Rami Hawash.

A source told OK! that the TV star feels it's the "perfect time" to start her family. Speaking to the outlet, they said: "Gemma has been trying to become a mother for so long and it's the perfect time, she's so excited for Christmas and is hoping for a miracle and a little one for the new year."

Meanwhile, the source added: "They say there's never a right time to have kids but Gemma really is ready. She's had such a rocky past romantically and has been with the wrong men, so even though she did want to be a mother it wouldn't have been right. But now, she has the perfect love with Rami and is hoping to make it complete with a baby."

Gemma has been open about her struggles with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and her fertility journey. She's had three "devastating" miscarriages and has been seeking help from a fertility doctor. "I cannot get pregnant. It is a nightmare. I cannot seem to get a doctor and I am looking to find a fertility doctor who can help me," she shared earlier this year.

Now, it seems she's found the help she needs. "I'm starting my fertility journey within the next couple of weeks. I'm going to a clinic so watch these cards and get ready for me, honey," she announced. She's also found inspiration in Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, who welcomed their sixth child last month after their own fertility struggles.

"The Tana Ramsay news was the greatest thing to wake up to," Gemma said. "Incredible. It really made me think positively about my future and it kind of took the pressure off. I don't think anyone knew Tana was pregnant, so it was such a lovely surprise, but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw it."

After a bumpy ride with love, Gemma has finally found her prince charming in 50-year-old business owner Rami. They initially met back in an Essex pub in 2011. They were set to wed a year later but split because Gemma felt marriage wasn't for her then.

Gemma and Rami rekindled their romance in 2020 and celebrated three years together this December. Gemma shared a sweet video montage on her social media, writing, "There's been highs and lows fire and ice but always LOVE @rami_hawash_ love you, you're always pushing me when I doubt myself and love me just a home in the garden. Thank you for all the madness and the love and endless talking about plants."

For Gemma, having children is more important than getting married. She said earlier this year, "The big day is not a priority, I'd rather spend the money on working out how I can have a baby," In 2020, she expressed her desire to experience motherhood, saying, "I will have a baby and I do want a baby. And also, every mother will know this, I want to feel motherhood... I've not had the physical experience of being a full-time mum. I don't want that robbed from me in my life, that would be a travesty."

Gemma has been open about her struggle with PCOS, a condition that can cause irregular periods, facial hair and difficulty getting pregnant. She revealed, "With my condition of PCOS, it's not easy to fall pregnant and I did suffer a miscarriage which was really sad during the lockdown period. I have suffered with it for the last 10 years. I started to gain weight when I was 28, my periods were all over the place."

Now, with the help of a medical professional, Gemma is excited to start her fertility journey and is reportedly planning to document it in a TV show. The BBC was thought to be the favourite for a series showing her journey to motherhood, but Channel 4 and ITV are also interested. A source confirmed that Gemma wants to follow in the footsteps of a famous reality show mum. "She has been in talks to film the fertility journey for a TV show and is really keen to share it. She wants to follow Kim Kardashian with how she filmed her whole pregnancy on Keeping Up With The Kardashians," they said.

Gemma is already a loving stepmum to Rami's son, Tristan, from a previous relationship, who she calls a "magical gift". Celebrating his fifth birthday last January, she shared, "The most magical gift. Tristan. Happy birthday to my amazing beautiful, kind, caring, funny stepson." "I love you so much and you make my life happier beyond all the stars in the sky. I'm so lucky to have you in my life."

As the trio get ready for a family Christmas together, the source shares, "Gemma is feeling really content right now with him and is looking forward to a family Christmas together." "It will be in the New Year that she really gets going with her fertility journey she's so excited for it."
