A woman was left horrified after a glittering Boohoo jumpsuit ended up making her look like a "melted glitter ball with extra long legs".

Olivia Burroughs fell in love with the £24 outfit when she found it during the Black Friday sales while looking for something to wear to a friend's Christmas party.

She spotted the plus-sized item on the Boohoo website. But when the jumpsuit arrived at her home in Nottinghamshire, telecommunications worker Olivia was shocked and angry at what she saw.

She claimed that the outfit looked nothing like the one advertised. And things only got worse when she tried it on, with Olivia stating she looked like a "melted glitter ball with extra long legs".

With no time to find a new outfit, Olivia decided to miss the Christmas party entirely and stayed at home. She said in 2019: "I wanted an outfit for my friend's Christmas party so I decided to do my shopping on to find a deal, and I did on Boohoo. The jumpsuit was £24, but when it arrived I was shocked by what I saw.

"It was completely different to the photo on the website and left me looking like a melted glitter ball with extra long legs. I couldn't believe the difference to the photo online, it was a real expectation vs reality of online shopping moment.

"I immediately kicked off and decided I wasn't going to the party because of how my outfit looked - and it was too late for me to order anything else. It's really put me off ordering from Boohoo because their sizes just aren't right. I returned the item immediately and now I'm waiting for a refund."

Boohoo was contacted contacted for comment at the time. Of course, ordering online can be a risky business - as one woman recently discovered when she purchased a 'hand-painted' Disney-style ornament for Christmas. It did not live up to expectations.

The woman's son - Australian vlogger Seb Laz - shared a clip of the ornament on TikTok and said it features "the Big Mermaid, Beast and the Beast, Snow Yellow, Sleeping Ugly, CinderFella, and Pocobounda". He added: "She was devastated. I don't know which was the worst one."

Ariel's fringe appears to blend into her skull, while Princess Belle's face appears to have melted and her eyes are wonky. The video raked in over 500,000 views on TikTok and hundreds of comments. One individual joked: "Well...if you close on eye, than the other, it really looks great." "Was it rescued from a ?," another added.
