A man claimed his catfish date ordered 53 fried pickles before fleeing while he was in the bathroom, leaving him with a $140 bill.

Zakir Siddiqui posted about his dating nightmare on TikTok, sharing the ordeal with his 222,000 followers. Siddiqui, who shares stories from his tumultuous dating life, told how he met a girl on the Bumble dating app, before hitting it off and deciding to meet in person.

However things took a turn almost immediately when the woman, who he referred to as Sydney, turned up an hour early - and seemed upset he hadn't been there to meet her. After the initial awkwardness, Siddiqui said he quickly noticed the woman looked about "10% like her pictures" - calling her out as a catfish.

In the viral clip, so far gathering 4.6million views, Siddiqui goes on to say the "worst date ever" got even worse when it came to ordering food - with the woman's choices appearing a little unusual.

Despite being on a first date, the woman apparently used the outing to indulge in one of her favourite snacks - namely friend pickled. However, Siddiqui claims the woman ordered an astonishing 53 fried pickles. He explained that the pickles came in orders of six, before adding: "53 is not even a multiple of six!"

Siddiqui claims the situation became even more awkward when she started talking rudely to the staff who couldn't understand her huge pickle request. He added: "When the server let the woman know they only came in orders of six, Sydney became heated. She snapped: 'Why can’t you just f***ing put it on a plate? It’s not that hard."

While the "train wreck" of a date seemed at rock bottom, Siddiqui was left jaw-dropped when he returned from a restroom break to find 'Sydney' had vanished - and taken the pickles with her. Siddiqui was lumped with a £120 bill ($140). In his shock at the staggering date experience, he shared the bizarre evening with his followers who were quick to chime in with their opinions.

One person compared his date to a recent viral dating tale when a woman was abandoned and left to pay the bill after she ordered and ate 48 oysters. The woman (@EquanaB on TikTok) revealed she ordered four dozen of the shellfish, which she loudly knocked back, on a first date she went on at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta.

She was shocked and angered when the man never came back from the toilet, but people on social media were quick to point out that he was probably disgusted after listening to her slurp and slap her lips through the unbelievable mountain of oysters, which she claimed were the best in Atlanta.

“Idk what's worse, the 48 oysters as an APPETIZER or the insane slurping and smacking,” wrote one viewer. The majority of the video shows the woman loudly slurping her way through the shellfish.
