Emmerdale's Chloe Harris' dad exposed - name change and links to village
Emmerdale fans will no doubt have questions after Chloe Harris called show villain Harry "Dad" during the latest episode.
The identity of Chloe's father has been a mystery for the past couple of years since she debuted in 2021, while his name was given as Damon Harris. While we have never seen him on screen, he finally appeared to show up in the village on Thursday - but fans were shocked as Chloe met up with a familiar face.
She then confirmed he was her dad as she called him by this term a number of times, while fans know for a fact that the man on screen was Dingle enemy Harry, who has been onscreen numerous times in the past few months. So who is Harry and is he the same person as Damon Harris?
The answer is yes, with Damon explaining: "The first few months when I got sent down you came to see me every week, then nothing. No letters, no calls, no visits. It was round the whole wing that Damon Harris’ daughter dumped him.”
Chloe then asked, addressing the name change: “So you were Damon inside? You weren’t Harry?” While Damon didn’t exactly confirm which was his real name, he told her: “Only business associates call me Harry now, to everyone else I’m Damon, Mr Harris, Dad.”

Emmerdale viewers saw Chloe Harris' dad identified on Thursday night on the ITV soap - but are Harry and Damon Harris the same person? (ITV)Chloe was revealed to have been estranged from her dad, with him cutting ties with her from prison a couple of years ago. After she debuted on the soap in 2021 as the sister of Sarah Sugden's heart donor, it was later revealed she had a big link to the village.
It was revealed she was the secret daughter of Kerry Wyatt, who had been adopted as a baby by a man named Damon Harris and his wife. Chloe only found this out, and that she was adopted, when Kerry told her the truth last year.
Prior to this, Kerry had worked as a cleaner at Damon's house while he was in prison, with he and Chloe seemingly unaware of her true link to them. The story was that Damon was controlling and Chloe wanted to get away, so she fled to the village with Kerry unaware she was her daughter.
Since then Chloe has had no contact with her dad Damon, who was thought to still be in prison. But on Thursday night Chloe met up with a mystery person, only for that person to be identified as villain Harry who was last seen on screen in October.
The bigger shock came when he called her by her name and called her "sweetheart", followed by Chloe saying: "Hi, Dad." Chloe appeared to confirm in this scene that Harry was her father, and perhaps was also Damon Harris.
