Liverpool are set to take on Union Saint-Gilloise in their final Europa League group game this evening, having already topped their group.

Jurgen Klopp's side beat Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 at Anfield in October and will be hoping for a similar result this time around. Klopp is also expected to rest some of his top stars ahead of Liverpool's clash with rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

The Reds are currently top of the Premier League, having beaten Crystal Palace over the weekend while Arsenal lost to Aston Villa. Here is the latest batch of Liverpool new from Mirror Football.

Liverpool are set to recall Fabio Carvalho next month, with the 21-year-old struggling for game time at RB Leipzig.

Carvalho has made just two starts in all competitions since joining the German club on loan and the Liverpool Echo are reporting that the Reds are in talks with Leipzig about cutting his move short in January.

Fabinho drops Salah transfer hint

Former Liverpool star Fabinho does not expect Mohamed Salah to leave Anfield during the January transfer window.

Fabinho left Liverpool to join Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League over the summer and they also attempted to sign Salah, with the Reds rejecting a £150m bid for their star man. And Fabinho does not believe Salah will be joining him in Saudi Arabia next month, telling talkSPORT : "At this moment, Mo Salah is happy at Liverpool.

"He's scoring goals every game and he has been their best player. I'm very happy for Mo. This season he will stay at Liverpool so I wish him all the best and hope he keeps scoring goals and winning trophies with Liverpool."

Klopp accused of 'inciting pile-ons'

Former Premier League referee has accused the likes of Klopp and Mikel Arteta of 'inciting pile-ons' towards referees with their comments about officiating.

In a column for the Times in the wake of a brutal attack on Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler, Walton wrote: "This country is having a reckoning with the abuse of officials and maybe this can be a jumping off point to make meaningful change.

"First things first, the FA, the SFA, UEFA, every governing body needs to come out immediately and condemn these actions. Then, maybe the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta will think twice next time they rush to harangue an official or question his impartiality after the game and incite pile-ons."
