Coronation Street star Sair Khan left fans in a spin when she announced she's pregnant with her first child earlier today.

And the reason why fans were stunned at her news, was the fact no one had an idea that she was pregnant as she managed to conceal her growing bump. But now we can reveal how the ITV soap star hid her pregnancy from fan, for what is believed to be five months.

The Corrie star, who played Alya Nazir in the ITV soap, last posted on Instagram on the 24th August, which is thought to be when she was in the early stages of her pregnancy. And from that date until today, when she announced her happy news, Sair has steered clear of the social media platform.

Documenting her trip to California with partner Nathan Chilton, Sair posted a video but throughout the clip, she does her best to distract fans from her stomach. At the beginning of the video, she is wearing a fitted brown vest- top teamed with a pair of black shorts. But despite the blistering sun, the 35 year old star held her black baseball cap over her belly instead of shading her head from the sun.

Further into the video, which was sped up, she is not only seen sat down but the camera also pans into her face as she samples a host of dishes from local restaurants. And when she is being filmed on the beach in a bikini, she appears so far away it would be virtually impossible to anyone to spot a slight change in her frame.

In other parts of the video, she is seen in baggy tops or wearing a bum bag covering her belly. Earlier today, (Dec 13) Sair took to social media to share her happy news. The ecstatic actress wrote: "Hello… It’s been a little while since posting on here which has been a real mix of emotions.

"With all that is happening in the world it didn’t feel like the right time to share but we also know it’s okay to keep hope and pray for peace whilst acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful. Last year was a challenging time for us both with Nathan’s chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis."

She added: ""It’s been a long road to recovery and still has many obstacles ahead as we deal with the spread of the tumour to his lungs. Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learnt and gifts to be cherished." She concluded her post saying: "We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024."

She shared her announcement alongside two photographs of herself posing alongside Nathan. The main image showed the soap actress smiling at her partner, wearing a wollen grey dress and cradling her baby bump. The second image showed the couple looking delighted about their news as he gave a thumbs up to the camera, while Sair simply smiled at the camera.
