Jamie Lynn Spears admits why she spilled Britney's secrets on I'm A Celeb
Jamie Lynn Spears has opened up for the first time about why she decided to spill Britney's secrets while she was appearing on I'm A Celebrity.
Initially, the actress and singer had appeared reluctant to speak about her world-famous popstar sister on the ITV show and remained quiet while others talked about their own families. However, she later opened up and told campmates about their childhood and offered behind-the-scenes information on Britney's performance with Madonna and her Vegas residency.
During tonight's spin-off show, I'm A Celebrity... Coming Out, Jamie-Lynn will open up about why she decided to speak about Britney, with an insider explaining: "She says that everyone in camp were talking about their families, so thought ‘why should I not talk about mine?’"
They added that she didn't want to feel like she was the only one sharing, adding to The Sun : "It’s a heartbreaking moment that peeks behind the veil of living with fame.”
While the other campmates celebrated Sam Thompson's win on Sunday and Monday during the show's famous boozy wrap party, Jamie-Lynn sent a simple message of congratulations on social media after quitting the show early. Just days after Grace Dent left, Jamie-Lynn also quit on medical grounds and jet back home to see her children.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingSources on the show said Jamie Lynn's exit was linked to her missing her family. One said at the time: "She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means."
Prior to Jamie's exit, she had raised concerns that she was ready to quit. During Tuesday night's episode, she became increasingly upset when Sam Thompson likened her to the boy who cried wolf. Speaking to Sam, Jamie said: "I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here. This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it. I think I've got to leave, I think I've got to leave."
Made In Chelsea star Sam responded that she was "the girl who cried wolf." Enraged by his comments, the star hit back saying: "I'm not the girl who cried wolf, I'm speaking honestly about my emotions." Sam hit back adding: "You're never leaving, you're going to be here longer than we are." But Jamie Lynn was not impressed as she quipped: "I'm not crying wolf, I mean it every single time I say I want to leave!"
She went on to burst into tears over a piece of chocolate. The camp had failed to win their luxury items but did manage to get a bar of chocolate which they shared. Fred Sirieix served them all their allocated chocolate in his apron.
Food critic Grace Dent walked from the camp and jetted back to the UK just days prior and admitted that she "just wanted to go home." Grace, 50, who had become a shadow of herself looked pale during her last episode.
In a statement shared with her campmates, Grace said: "My Dear campmates, I'm so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons. My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all. You've held me up and it's been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent."
