Geordie Shore icon urges co-star to return to show amid fears of being axed

One of the Geordie Shore stars has sparked concern that the reality series could be ending, after admitting that there's "probably not that many series left".

In a now-deleted video, former cast member Ricci Guarnaccio has revealed he doesn't think the series has long left after 13 years on MTV. The wild reality show which features boozy nights out and casual flings has been airing since 2011, but Ricci has revealed he thinks it could soon be the end after 24 seasons of the programme.

Speaking on his Instagram Story on Tuesday (December 12), Ricci, who recently released his latest song Love & Other, made a public call out to his ex-partner Vicky Pattison to "give fans what they want".

He called for ex partner Vicky Pattison to "put your big girl pants on" and return to the reality show (ricciguarnaccio/Instagram)

Speaking to the camera, he said: "Vicky Pattison why don't you get the muzzle off your face, put your big girl pants on and give MTV a call and let's get you on the next series of Geordie Shore and give the fans what they want.

"There's probably not that many series of Geordie Shore left and I know your management have got you absolutely whipped where you are not allowed to have a conversation about me or even Geordie Shore, the channel and the show which gave us all everything. It will only be right before the show ends for me and you to at least have one mature conversation. So, you're a big girl now, everyone's matured and everyone's grown up so let's give the fans what they want next series."

In a follow-up video after, Ricci added: "There was no offence meant in any of that video, a little bit of tongue in cheek, but with Geordie Shore not knowing how longs left, come on you guys you know you'd love to see Ricci G in there and Vicky P. I mean there will be no heels thrown in faces or getting the house to gang up on one person, none of that, a proper mature conversation, unlike Ex on the Beach."

Ricci joined the MTV show in 2012 and had viewers hooked on the ups and downs of his rollercoaster relationship with Vicky. They split in 2013 after what Ricci called a "volatile" relationship filled with "constant fighting". Since 2019, Vicky has been in a relationship with Ercan Ramadan with the pair announcing their engagement in February last year.
