Kevin Costner's ex Christine glad he didn't move on with 'fame-seeking bimbo'
Kevin Costner 's ex-wife has admitted it is 'bittersweet' to see her former husband dating someone else jus three months after their bitter divorce was finalised.
Christine Baumgartner, 49, reportedly confided in a friend who then shared her opinion on the news with DailyMail.com. Kevin, 68, was photographed getting up close and personal with singer Jewel, 49, as TMZ revealed that the pair are dating.
The pictures showed them cosied up on a trip to Richard Branson's Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. Christine has found comfort in his new love interest not being a 'fame seeking bimbo' but someone 'down to earth' according to the report.

She said she's happy for him, but it still isn't a great feeling seeing your ex with someone new."
Kevin and Christine went their separate ways when she filed for divorce back in May following 19 years of marriage. The couple then spent months battling out the terms of their divorce in court.

Her friend added that she "never could have imagined he and Jewel dating, but in retrospect it makes sense." They continued: "They're both into music, into that cowboy thing. What's not to like about her. At least Jewel is a down to earth person and has her own thing going on.

Kevin and Christine share three children, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. A judge signed off on a three-page divorce settlement on September 19. The judge reportedly informed Christine that their 18-year-old prenup would be enforced and if she did not agree she would have to pay over $1million plus his attorney's fees to Kevin, 68.
A representative of the pair shared a joint statement with Mirror, saying: "Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings."
