Zoella star Zoe Sugg gives birth to second child and shares unique name
YouTube star Zoe Sugg has given birth to a baby girl and revealed her very quirky name.
The internet star, who shot to fame using the name Zoella, welcomed her second child on December 6. But the 33-year-old, who already shares two-year-old daughter Ottilie with partner Alfie Deyes, 30, only shared the happy news today
Introducing the latest addition to the family, Zoe dressed her tot in a white baby grow and cute green cardigan with flowers on it. She captioned the post: “Just in time for Christmas! Novie Nell Deyes 6/12/23.”
Older brother Joe Sugg, who is also a YouTuber and dates Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell, was amongst the first to congratulate Zoe and Alfie writing: “Little Novie, welcome to the family.” Joe’s girlfriend Dianne posted: “Love her,” followed by a string of red love hearts.

Their second baby Novie was born last week (Instagram)Fans were also quick to comment underneath with one praising the couple’s unusual name choice. One wrote: “I’m crying! Congratulations! Such a perfect name.” Another wrote: “She’s absolutely perfect. Huge congratulations. Ottie and Novie sounds perfect xxx.”

A third commented: “Amazing news!! So precious. Congratulations to you all.” A fourth posted: “Aw cute and what a beautiful name too.” While a fifth added: “Wonderful! I was literally watching the accounts today thinking... it MUST be almost time! Have wonderful snuggles with your little supernova xxx.”
Back in September, Zoe and Alfie revealed the happy news that as well as becoming parents twice, they are now engaged after 11 years together. Beauty blogger Zoe has been in a relationship with YouTuber Alfie since 2012.
Posting a black and white snap of the proposal, Zoe excitedly showed off an impressive-looking engagement diamond ring on her finger, but it wasn’t until 2013 that their romance was revealed. Friend and fellow YouTuber Jim Chapman inadvertently outed the pair when she shared a snap of them kissing in the background of his social media content.
In the years since they were forced to confirm their romance, Zoe and Alfie have gone from strength to strength - taking the decision to move in together in 2014. They then welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ottilie - a female variation of the German name Otto - in August 2021.
Then in July this year, the couple announced the happy news that they were expecting again. Declaring the news via social media at the time, Zoe wrote: “Our family is growing! Little girl joining us in December.”
Zoe and Alfie – who have been dubbed Zalfie - are something of a social media power couple having both created huge online followings and being pioneers of the YouTube generation. Zoe's 'Zoella' brand made her a household name to millions who lived for her beauty tips and even Forbes Magazine declared her the most powerful beauty vlogger.
