Incredible dash-cam footage has emerged of a man battling through a deadly Tennessee tornado in his car - which was “totally totaled”.

Cameron McNeil, 25, was caught up in the storm when driving through Clarksville on Saturday. Frightening dashcam footage shows the moment he was engulfed among lightning, bending telegraph poles and flying debris before his windscreen cracks.

But Cameron isn't swayed by the dangerous storm, pushing his way through in his vehicle. "In the video you can see transformers blowing up and my windshield getting cracked and things going everywhere,” he said after the terrifying incident.

Another mother, Floriderma Perez, was found dead while clutching her also deceased two-year-old son, Anthony, after the storm tore through their home in Nashville. Police said Ms Perez, 31, and her son were killed alongside their neighbour Joseph Dalton, 37.

Wanda McClemor, a neighbour of the three victims, told local news outlet Channel 5 that she could “hear them calling for help” but that she was too late to be of any assistance. Ms Perez’s body was eventually found, Ms McClemor said, with her arms wrapped tightly around the body of her son. "They said they couldn't find her because she was holding him, trying to protect the baby," Ms McClemor said.
