Girls Aloud have delighted fans by adding yet another date to their upcoming reunion tour later this year.

The girl band will now perform a fifth date at London's O2 Arena as Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts take to the stage again. The group have come together again, with tickets for their tour dates in May and June this year selling out in hours as excited fans clamoured to snap up the chance to see them perform again.

The group will perform for the first time without fifth member Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer in 2021 aged just 39.

The iconic girl band announced the additional date with a post to their Instagram account, which read: "We have been completely blown away by the love, support and excitement we’ve received for our #TheGirlsAloudShow 2024 tour. We are THRILLED to announce we are adding an additional FIFTH show at @theo2london on THURS 27 JUN."

They continued: "Pre-sale this Weds 13 Dec at 9am, general on-sale Fri 15 Dec at 9am, all via the link in our bio. We’ve been VERY busy planning an epic show for you all and we can’t wait to be back on stage."

Delighted fans were quick to express their excitement at another chance to see the group perform, as one commented: "'Due To Phenomenal Demand, Extra Dates Are Now Added' - Don’t tell me you didn’t expect us to sell out the first lot of dates you released. The power of this fanbase!" Another added: "So glad they are back together! Brings back so many memories." A third wrote: "The demand is crazy, so happy for you girls."

The new dates comes after fans were left disappointed and reeling over the price of tickets to attend the reunion tour. Taking to social media, some fans branded the fees 'a slap in the face'.

Ticket prices start at £48.50 for next year's tour, while mid-tier tickets cost £60 and top-tier tickets are available for £85 at regional venues and £95 in London. There are also a small number of VIP tickets available for £185 at regional venues and £195 in London.

This isn't been the only gripe with tickets that Girls Aloud fans have encountered either, as desperate fans were hoping the general sale would leave them with tickets to the much-anticipated reunion tour after slamming an "utter shambles" of a presale that took place earlier. Whilst nearly all locations had an extra date as more tickets went on sale, Welsh fans were left feeling put out after no further dates were added for Cardiff.
