JonBenét Ramsey’s dad says new analysis of ransom note proves paedo's claims
The father of a child beauty queen killed at her own home says new handwriting analysis proves his wife's innocence and points to a convicted paedophile, it is reported.
Predator Gary Oliva is currently serving time for child abuse images offences and has previously confessed to the horrific and infamous 1996 murder of JonBenét Ramsey nearly 30 years ago. Police have not confirmed his claim he killed the girl and there has been speculation ever since.
But now, it is reported handwriting experts Mozelle Martin and Dawn McCarty have conducted analysis which found significant similarities between Oliva's writing and the ransom note of the killer.
The stunning report, obtained by the US Sun, revealed a score of 1.75 on a scale of 1 to 5 - with 1 being a definitive, identical match to the writing on the ransom note.
Ms McCarty told the outlet: "You can't make this up.... two separate sets of documents by two different authors that have the same spacing and all the consistent inconsistencies, how could that possibly be? There's too many things that are just hard to ignore. That doesn't mean to say he 100% wrote the ransom note, but it does call for a serious and more thorough investigation into Gary Oliva."

During the analysis, the shapes of individual letters, symbols and words found in the note were compared to samples of Oliva's writing, as well as Mr Martin focusing on slant variations, pressure points, spacing, and letter sizing.
Both of the experts agreed there were consistent similarities in both samples, including the present in lowercase A's found in both Oliva and the killer's writing.
Ms Mcarty continued: "The contour of the oval segment of the lowercase a showed a likeness when overlapped, as did the inward lean of the stem of the a and the irregular top portion of the letter. There’s a notable indent on the stem of the a and both sets of samples lean inwards toward the left."

McCarty picked out a pattern of flattened tops in the letter A, instead of a traditionally more curved method as well as an overall similar shape. She asserted that those letters matched the lowercase A's found in the ransom note.
The experts agreed that their independent handwriting analysis of the note and Oliva's letters determined that he "most likely" authored the Ramsey ransom letter.
JobBenét's father John told the US Sun the discovery was "very interesting," before adding: "When he was referred to us by the district attorney early on, they said he was a very interesting suspect.
"The district attorney told us, 'Look, I know the police won't follow up on this. Will you have your investigators look into it?' And we did and when it was described to me, all the circumstantial stuff, I said, 'Man, this is the guy!'
"My attorney told me not to jump to conclusions, but there was some circumstantial stuff that was very compelling. I don't know about him, but this is certainly encouraging."
Russian model killed after calling Putin a 'psychopath' was strangled by her exJohn Ramsey said the findings were encouraging and he called for a more urgent and thorough investigation into Oliva's role in his daughter's death.
In 2016, a handwriting expert who examined the ransom note claimed it was very likely that the letter was written by the child beauty queen's mother Patsy.
Wong spent three weeks examining the note and comparing it to 100 examples of Patsy's handwriting back in 2000, and found more than 200 similarities between the two.
JonBenét was murdered on Boxing Day in 1996 at her home in Boulder, Colorado, after being bludgeoned and strangled. Several hours after the incident her mother called 911 to say her daughter was missing and a ransom note was left behind.
Rumours, claims and counterclaims have swirled since, with the little girl's family members being accused over her death - before police in 2008 issued a full apology and declaring the family was "completely cleared" by DNA results. Ramsey family members have filed defamation lawsuits against a number of media organisations.
A police source told The Messenger: "There are several people on the radar. New persons of interest. And we are seeing if any of them are the key to solving this case. Time will tell if we get the answers we need. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Suspects and witnesses can come from a variety of places. It's not just the DNA, it's what happens when you investigate a very difficult case. There are new people to look at, to hopefully figure out who killed JonBenét."
A coroner determined that the pageant girl's cause of death was "asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma," meaning she had been choked and beaten to death. A garrote was found around her neck. She was covered by a white blanket with a nylon cord around her neck, her wrists bound above her head and her mouth covered by duct tape.
