Strictly fans go wild over Vernon Kay's intimate confession about wife Tess Daly
Vernon Kay made a surprise confession about his wife Tess Daly during Strictly Come Dancing's live show.
The BBC Radio 2 star came onto the semi-finals of the BBC dance competition to read the terms and conditions regarding people voting for their favourite celebrities. However, Vernon stunned viewers when he opened up about Strictly Come Dancing host Tess. Vernon was welcomed onto the set by co-host Claudia Winkleman as he read out how viewers can vote.
After he was finished, Claudia said: "Thank you so much and from all of us watching and in the studio, a huge congratulations. You raised over £6.2 million. You were a legend. It is now time to throw it back to your wife. I would like you to say her name but let me set the scene. You are snuggling, it's Sunday, maybe the puppy is on your lap and maybe you have had a delicious roast. Say her name with romance and love."
Vernon made a cheeky comment about Tess (BBC)"Well, obviously I would be wearing some pyjamas and have a Baileys, maybe a splash of cologne." He then swooned: "Tess, over to you." She giggled as she replied: "Very smooth, thank you, Vernon."
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on his cheeky comment. One said: "Tess holding it together there on #strictly after that handover from Vernon. What a professional!" Another added: "Love how Tess turned into a giggling schoolgirl with the handover from Vernon there…so cute!!"

Someone else wrote: "seeing tess and vernon kay on strictly together is a combo I never expected, but what a treat xxx." A fourth commented: "Aw that was cute between Vernon and Tess." 49-year-old television presenter Vernon recently completed an ultramarathon and raised over £6 million for Children In Need.
The star ran 116 miles from Leicester to his hometown of Bolton during the gruelling challenge and was left in tears as he reached the finish line last month. When he completed the challenge, Vernon joked to radio host Zoe Ball: "I am absolutely exhausted - physically, mentally, there's nothing in the tank. But it's been unbelievable, one of the most painful and joyous experiences I've ever had. Is there anyone here who can replace a knee?"
Vernon went on to confess he was “on so many painkillers I’d keel over if I had a pint”. We have raised £1million a day. Never in a million years did I expect that. Physically I am shot. Both big toenails are coming off,” he told The Sun. He added: “My right Achilles is swollen and my right knee is wonky. I never want to look at my sports watch again.”
Tess supported Vernon through the gruelling challenge and expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of love on her Instagram Stories. She said: "You might have heard that Vernon is doing an ultra ultramarathon for Children In Need which is basically 115 miles in four days... I just want to say thank you for your support.
"It honestly means so much because he needs it to keep him going, he didn't sleep much last night, his knees [are] hurting. He's never run more than eight miles before so this is epic. So thank you and thank you for all your lovely messages to me as well and your support because I'm in bits. I just want him to do it and complete this challenge. I know he will. Thanks very much. Go Vernon!"
