Manchester United are hoping to make it two wins from two when in-form Bournemouth travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils claimed a narrow win over Chelsea on Wednesday thanks to two goals from Scott McTominay. That result moved United up to sixth, with Erik ten Hag's side just three points off bitter rivals Manchester City and a place in the top four.

They face a difficult challenge on Saturday though, with Bournemouth having now gone four games unbeaten since being smashed 6-1 by City. A comfortable win over Crystal Palace in midweek has pulled the Cherries seven points clear of the relegation zone.

But fans in the UK who are hoping to watch Saturday's game will be left disappointed as neither Sky Sports nor TNT Sports will be airing the clash. That is because the match kicks off at 3pm, falling foul of the Premier League's blackout rules.

No matches, whether domestic or in foreign leagues, can be screened in England on domestic television on Saturdays between 2.45pm and 5.15pm. The rule will remain in place until at least 2029 thanks to the new TV deal the Premier League signed last week.

The two games that have been picked for live coverage on Saturday are Liverpool's trip to Crystal Palace at 12.30pm and Arsenal's clash with Aston Villa at 5.30pm. Meanwhile on Sunday, Manchester City's visit to Luton and Tottenham's game with Newcastle are the two games that will be screened live.

Ten Hag has frequently been forced to deny claims that a crisis has engulfed his team this season. And the Dutchman is keen for his side to now kick on and follow up the win over Chelsea with another three points.

“This team is in a good direction, is very good progressing and so we are pleased with that. And I know sometimes you have bad performance but then, still, you can get a result. That is the next step we have to make," he said.

"When you stick together, when you have the right attitude, when you when you fight it and, even in bad performances, you have to collect points. So that's going to be the next step. But you see how we play, style, so dominating the opponent in and out of possession. That is the way I want to play."

Bournemouth will not make life easy for them though, having recovered from a difficult start. And boss Andoni Iraloa is aware that his team face a sizeable task if they are to claim a second successive win.

"Now we have players in very good form and we still need points. We want more points and we have to take them because we're playing well. We have to continue taking the games week to week," he told Match of the Day.

"We have a difficult one at the weekend against Manchester United but we have to give it a go, play to our level and see if that is enough to get a result. We have to recover well now because it is going to be tough. It's the third game in a week and the third one is always the tough one."
