McVitie’s has confirmed another one of its iconic treats has been axed - leaving fans devastated.

Mini Jaffa Cakes are sadly no longer available to buy - however, it isn’t clear exactly when McVitie's decided to pull the product. The news was confirmed on social media earlier this year by the food manufacturer.

McVitie's was questioned by one fan in September, who posted the following on X/Twitter: “Wtf has happened to Mini Jaffa Cakes?” McVitie's responded with the message: "Hi there from Team McVitie's. We're sorry to say that these have been discontinued but your comment has been passed to our marketing team."

It comes after McVitie's fans were left gutted after realising Fruit Clubs have also disappeared in recent years. Recently one social media user demanded answers, with one posting: "Why on earth have you stopped making Fruit Clubs? My favourite biccy of all time. What flavours are still being made?”

McVitie's replied: “Hi there from Team McVitie's. Unfortunately, these were discontinued a few years ago. I can confirm that the club flavours are now orange, mint and salted caramel.” Others then jumped on the bandwagon, tweeting: “Bring back the fruit clubs!!” Another added: “The fruit Club was one of the best biscuits out there in my opinion.”

But McVitie's isn't the only food company to have recently discontinued flavours. The crisps manufacturer no longer sells its Beef and Onion flavour, which came in a brown bag. The firm announced it pulled them last year, putting an end to fan speculation as to whether they were temporarily being paused or if they're gone for good. Walkers has discontinued Beef and Onion before, but a campaign in 2015 brought the flavour back to shelves.

Walkers fans reacted to the news of the Worcestershire sauce flavour being discontinued earlier this year. One person wrote: "Is it just me that's noticed but I've not seen these in my local shop or supermarket for a while now. Can I still get them?"

One person wrote: “Why would you discontinue Beef and Onion crisps?” Another commented: "Just dawned on me Walkers Crisps have binned off BBQ, beef and onion and Worcestershire sauce flavours. Please don’t tell me Ketchup is next."
