'Next level' fur jacket that's 'a hug in coat form' is selling fast

A fur coat from River Island has shoppers swooning over its major cosiness, with some declaring it's a "hug in coat form". The cream panelled faux fur coat from the high street store is selling fast due to it being the "coat of the season", for some fans - and with it being chunky, warm, and completely fluffy, we can totally see why.

With the temperature having well and truly plummeted in the last few days, so much so that we all need some thermal fleece-lined tights to leave the house, it's no surprise that search for women's faux fur coats has skyrocketed by over 200% (according to data from New Look. And this one from River Island has been raved about by body confidence influencer Megan Carole as the "IT coat".

Writing on her Instagram, Megan captioned a video of her styling the £95 coat with outfits suitable for both day and night - trousers, a polo neck jumper and ballet pumps as well as a black bandeau jumpsuit: "One coat from day to night ready to walk into the most wonderful time of the year. Styling up @riverisland faux fur ‘IT’ coat of the szn!!!! From countryside walks to ice skating in the city! You can style this coat up for so many different looks!"

Megan isn't the only one who's a massive fan of this fluffy, soft jacket - which is made up of 100% Polyurethane - as River Island fanatics soon rushed to her comments section to declare their love for it.

One wrote: "Okay but this is STUNNING."

"Coat of the SZN," said another while a third and fourth added: "That is a hug in coat form," and "Next level cosy chic!"

"Omg so cosy," remarked another.

One on TikTok even declared this coat as giving off "snow princess" vibes.

Of course, with coats of this bright, cream colour, there is always the risk of getting it dirty from wear - so if you are clumsy, prone to spillages or simply want to keep your coats mark-free, this utterly glamorous coat (which looks like something out of a 1930s film) comes in both black and grey and ranges in sizes from XS to L, although some who have bagged this coat already recommend sizing up to get a jumper in underneath.

For something a little cheaper (than £95) but equally as cosy and warm, this New Look faux fur coat has been discounted to £40 from £59.99 - and I can vouch that is it like wearing a blanket outside. Fashion lovers are also loving this short faux fur jacket from Very that's now £42.75 from £55.
