Strictly Come Dancing's Bobby Brazier is being guided by signals sent from his late mum Jade Goody, according to proud dad Jeff Brazier.

The EastEnders actor has been one to watch in the BBC dancing competition, with praise coming in from the judges for his performances including a moving tribute to mum Jade. Big Brother star Jade Goody died in 2009 from cervical cancer at just 27 years old.

Dad Jeff Brazier has opened up about how proud of his son he is, and in a recent interview revealed that he sees signs from his ex Jade, especially when asking for guidance on how to support their two boys Bobby and Freddy.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Jeff explained: "I often ask her for advice and we always find feathers. Many an occasion I’ve asked, 'What would you do?' because it’s a tough responsibility having all the weight of it on your shoulders. She is always part of the conversation. Bobby has so much of her in him and we see that shine through in every performance. Of course, for those she’s absolutely with us, she’s there."

Proud dad Jeff Brazier has also spoken out about Bobby's success as the actor won the National Television Award for Rising Star earlier this year and has been working hard during his time on Strictly. He explained: "I haven’t really stopped crying for the last couple of years on account of how proud I am. Getting into EastEnders, walking the catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana, winning an NTA, it borders into awe."

Jeff also added that he believes eldest son Bobby's coping mechanism comes from losing his mum in 2009 when he was only five years old. He continued: "I think it comes from having to encounter one of the biggest challenges we can ever face in life, especially at such a young age, and that’s loss. One thing we were absolutely definite and united on was our children would have a better life than we did, a better childhood."

Dad Jeff has also opened up previously about how proud of Bobby he is, especially after a particularly moving tribute on Strictly which the EastEnders actor dedicated to the memory of his late mum. Speaking to Mail Online, Jeff explained: "I was nervous for him anyway because you just are, but I was so apprehensive because Bobby hasn't necessarily shared his experience of loss publicly before." The TV presenter then added that he was concerned for Bobby that opening up on TV would be "overwhelming" and that the young actor might find it bringing up "unresolved grief".

Jeff added: "I worried that he'd find it too much. Grief is ugly, but to watch him be able to translate it into this understandable, beautiful thing, was amazing."
