Kate makes secret visit to Strictly studios - and brings Charlotte and Louis
Kate Middleton watched a Strictly Come Dancing rehearsal yesterday alongside her children – who even got to sit on the judges' panel.
The Princess of Wales, 41, took Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, with her to the two-hour secret studio visit and they gave their verdicts with the scoring paddles to professional dancers Katya and Neil Jones. The royal trio were then introduced to presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, as well as some of the other dance pros.
Louis also got to try on a small gold crown when they all stopped off at the Elstree Studios costume department. The prince then got to stand on the balcony overlooking the dance floor where contestants gather during the show. Referring to the Strictly visit, a source told The Sun: “Kate and Charlotte are huge fans of Strictly so they were delighted to be invited. Kate took pictures of the children in the judges’ seats. She seemed really relaxed and was all smiles. She was polite, sweet and charming with everyone and made sure Louis didn’t get over-excited.

The royal trio got to meet presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman (BBC)Last year Camilla met 2021 Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis on the EastEnders set and told her she had voted for her. Four years before she was on the Christmas special episode and danced with judge Craig Revel Horwood and pro Brendan Cole at Buckingham Palace.
