Cristiano Ronaldo has scored an astonishing 867 goals during his career.

The Portugal international has rarely struggled to find the net during his spells with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and now Al-Nassr. It's the main reason why he's won the Ballon d'Or and the Champions League five times each.

With Ronaldo scoring so many goals, it's difficult to decide which is his best. Thankfully, artificial intelligence is available to give us the answer. Mirror Football asked ChatGPT to name Ronaldo's greatest goals... and some of the answers will come as no surprise.

So, here are Ronaldo's greatest ever goals... if AI is to be believed!

5. Portugal 3-3 Spain, 2018 World Cup

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Portugal's World Cup clash with Spain in 2018 was a rollercoaster from start to finish. Ronaldo scored first in the group-stage match after winning and converting a penalty before Diego Costa equalised for Spain.

Ronaldo then made it 2-1 thanks to a howler from goalkeeper David de Gea, but Costa found the net again to level the game. A stunning goal from Nacho finally gave Spain the lead before Ronaldo produced a tremendous free kick to finish the scoring. Portugal went on to lose to Uruguay in the last 16, as France won the tournament in Russia.

4. Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid, 2012 La Liga

What is Cristiano Ronaldo's greatest ever goal? Let us know in the comments below!

This goal wasn't Ronaldo's most eye-catching, but it was one of his most important. Madrid were aiming to end Pep Guardiola's domestic dominance at Barcelona by winning their first La Liga title since 2008 and couldn't afford to lose this fixture at the Camp Nou.

Sami Khedira opened the scoring for the visitors before Alexis Sanchez equalised. Then came Ronaldo's moment. He latched on to Mesut Ozil's perfectly timed pass before finding the net and issuing his famous 'calm down' celebration, silencing Barcelona's home.

"We have to congratulate Madrid for their win and the title that they have also won tonight," Guardiola told reporters at full-time. Madrid, under the management of Jose Mourinho, went on to win the La Liga title and Guardiola left the Camp Nou.

3. Manchester United 1-2 Real Madrid, 2013 Champions League

Again, this goal is remembered for its importance. Fireworks were expected when Ronaldo's Madrid drew his former club United in the last 16 of the Champions League. The first leg in Spain finished 1-1 thanks to goals from Ronaldo and Danny Welbeck.

United took the lead in the second leg through an own goal by Sergio Ramos, but Madrid snatched back the initiative when Nani was controversially sent off for a high foot. Luka Modric then scored from distance before Ronaldo tapped in the winner.

In a mark of respect for Red Devils supporters, Ronaldo refused to celebrate at Old Trafford. Yet that didn't matter too much. United were knocked out of the Champions League - ending Sir Alex Ferguson's final European campaign in defeat.

2. Juventus 0-3 Real Madrid, 2018 Champions League

Probably the goal everyone remembers. Ronaldo produced an outrageous bicycle kick during the quarter-final tie to give Madrid a two-goal lead in Turin. Juventus fans could do nothing but applaud the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's ridiculous attempt.

Madrid went on to win the leg 3-0 before narrowly avoiding a shock aggregate defeat at the Bernabeu, losing 3-1 on the night. Zinedine Zidane's side then defeated Liverpool in the final, with Gareth Bale scoring his own bicycle kick to steal Ronaldo's thunder.

Yet that goal against Juventus lives long in the memory, and many fans would still describe it as Ronaldo's greatest. But AI disagrees...

1. Porto 0-1 Manchester United, 2009 Champions League

It's questionable whether this goal should be Ronaldo's No.1, but it definitely belongs in his top five. The Portuguese icon took Porto's Estadio do Dragao by surprise by smashing the ball into the top corner from 40 yards out in just the sixth minute of this game.

Not only was the goal incredible, but it was also important. The first leg of this quarter-final tie finished 2-2 at Old Trafford, with United needing to score thanks to the now-defunct away goals rule. Ronaldo's sublime strike was enough to win the tie.

United went on to lose 2-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League final in Ronaldo's last game for Ferguson's team before his £80million transfer to Madrid, which was a world-record fee at the time. The rest, as they say, is history.
