Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Mohamed Salah and Mary Earps are among the contenders to win this year's Fans' Footballer of the Year award.

More than 60,000 fans got involved last year, with Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes pipping Salah to top spot. Lionesses star Beth Mead finished third after her starring role in England's women's Euros triumph, while Bukayo Saka and Haaland rounded out the top five.

However, Guimaraes is not on this year's 12 player shortlist, made up of stars from both the men's and women's game who have been nominated by journalists.

Liverpool star Salah has previously won the award twice in 2021 and 2022 and will be gunning for a third win after another impressive year. Manchester City are strongly represented on the shortlist after their historic treble victory last season, with Haaland leading the way after his stunning run of form in front of goal.

Haaland is joined by teammates Rodri and John Stones, who also played key roles in City's triumphs. Saka also makes the cut alongside his new Arsenal teammate Declan Rice, who has impressed at the Emirates so far after captaining West Ham to glory in the Europa Conference League.

The last two Premier League stars on the list are Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Newcastle's Kieran Trippier, who have both played key roles in their respective clubs' continued rises.

Outside the Premier League, Bellingham has been nominated following his excellent start to life at Real Madrid. Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane also makes the list, having joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich over the summer.

From the women's game, England and Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps has been shortlisted alongside Chelsea striker Sam Kerr after impressing in both the Women's Super League and the Women's World Cup.
