A woman has issued a plea to boycott Frontier Airlines after detailing how the company changed the terminal her plane was flying from at Atlanta airport last minute, leaving passengers sprinting to the new one – only to be denied entry.

"The plane that I’m supposed to be on is right behind me,” she told more than 688,000 TikTok viewers via video, visibly hot and flustered after the airport furore, and still furious that she had been denied access to the flight that was still at the gate.

Tamika, who posts on TikTok under the handle @tamika_thats_it, then detailed how: “Frontier changed the terminal of the flight – so everybody over here ran from Terminal E in Atlanta airport to Terminal D.”

According to World Data, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as it’s officially known, is the largest airport in the United States and one of the biggest worldwide, typically taking travellers around 15 minutes to change terminals.

Visibly sweating having legged it across the airport, and furious at being denied access, she was then told that the next available flight wasn’t until two days later and that a rebooking fee would also be required.

With more than 4,000 comments, many were quick to judge the airline, with one ex-Frontier Airlines flight attendant saying: “I can confirm this is a true story! Sorry, this happened to you. They are notorious for changing gates last minute.”

Another said: “I'm confused… they changed the terminal and now people can't board after they changed it? They would be paying for my room, my flight, food.”

Another disgruntled Frontier flyer said: “Same happened to me. My theory is that they overbook flights and don’t tell people last minute and steal their money.”

While one viewer acknowledged you get what you pay for they said: “I know Frontier Airlines is cheap, but at what point does the aggravation outweigh the cost?”

Tamika later revealed that she had sent Frontier Airlines the TikTok and spoken to customer services, who had agreed to waive the booking fee. However, it didn't change her mind about them as she reiterated to her followers: "Do not fly with them, do not pass go, do not collect $200 (a Monopoly reference), do not fly with Frontier."

The Mirror has contacted Frontier Airlines for comment.
