A hospital security guard in Arizona is accused of having sex with the corpse of a 79-year-old woman in the morgue.

Randall Bird, 46, is accused of necrophilia after the Phoenix Police Department arrived at the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix - after receiving a call about a "suspected misconduct involving a man" on October 24. The suspect was allegedly caught with an open body bag, his belt off, and sweating “profusely”, in the truly shocking claims made by two staff members who witnessed the alleged act.

One of the suspect’s roles in the medical centre is to transport dead bodies to a freezer in the hospital morgue. And now two witnesses have emerged saying they saw Bird with the elderly woman’s corpse in the morgue’s freezer - and claiming that he was acting very suspiciously.

The witnesses informed cops that Bird was “sweating profusely” and “acting very nervous” when they caught him in the middle of what they believed to be a sexual act which he was performing on the unnamed woman. The witnesses state that Bird’s flies were unzipped and that his uniform was visibly “messy”.

Police heard that the corpse was face down when Bird was caught. The suspect’s belt had been taken off, and was sitting on the gurney used to transport the body.

Bird claimed that he had fainted as he felt unwell - and as he fell he grabbed the body bag, accidentally ripping it open. He says he had accidentally broken the zip and the bag when doing so, but witnesses said that neither the bag nor the zipper had actually been broken.
