An American woman has left her followers in stitches after filming her British boyfriend doing something that gives her "the ick".

Alex Murphy, from Boston, lives with her fiance, Paul Klein, in London, regularly sharing insights into their entertaining relationship online. She's previously hit the headlines for making tea using cold water and a microwave - leaving UK viewers horrified.

In a bid to crack up her 202,000 Instagram fans, the 35-year-old TV presenter decided to film her 30-year-old partner while he trims his facial hair.

In the clip, which has over 86,900 views, Alex looks to the camera as she says: "How to get the ick." She then films the floor as she walks towards the back door.

As she walks up to the glass, Paul can be seen surrounded by extension leads, with a mirror and a razor. He is, in fact, shaving his beard - outside in the cold.

Paul then looks at the camera and starts laughing. As Alex films the electrical leads going from inside her house to the outside, she says: "Because this looks like a really good idea."

The popular post has racked up over 700 likes with viewers left in hysterics over Paul's strange hack.

It comes after Alex shared the controversial tea in a microwave method video on TikTok, where it has since been viewed more than 10 million times.

Paul took one sip on the cup of tea and immediately put the mug down, with a look of disgust on his face. "What is that? That is disgusting. Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude – but that is not a cup of tea," he told her. He is left horrified when she reveals she microwaved it, and throws the mug on the ground.

It triggered an array of angry responses from Brits who were appalled at the tea making method. "That was an appropriate response. The real red flag is how you made that tea," one Reddit user commented, while another added: "No way he should leave you at once."
