State of William and Kate's marriage, according to Meghan's 'pal' Omid Scobie
Prince William and Princess Kate's relationship has been tested over the years but the future King and Queen 'remain solid' together, royal author Omid Scobie writes.
The royal couple's marriage is one topic in Scobie's new bombshell book, Endgame, which was published today. The book shares an insight into the Prince and Princess of Wales' marriage and what their relationship is really like behind closed doors. Scobie reveals the shared belief that keeps William and Kate together, and shares intimate conversations with sources said to be close to the couple.
The author describes their life in the 'modest' four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage in the grounds of Windsor estate following their departure from Kensington Palace in central London, which Kate apparently said made them feel a bit like 'caged animals'. "Windsor's quiet, rural environment is exactly what they were looking for," he writes. "The royal estate, said sources, provides the children with plenty of safe space to run, cycle and play in privacy."
According to Scobie, either William or Kate do drop off and pick up at the nearby Lambrook School, before William heads up to use office space at the castle on a e-scooter each day.

"Sources said William's marriage to Kate remains solid. It's a partnership, an alliance, and a lifetime commitment", he wrotem adding that William and Kate "work as a team", and the Prince is "incredibly proud" of his wife - specifically of her role as a senior working royal.

Their royal duties play a huge part in their relationship, with Kate supporting William's milestone projects over the years. A family friend told Scobie they "both feel supported by one another". Elsewhere in the book, Scobie claims the Sussexes' departure "put more pressure" on the Waleses to "fill the working void left behind".
Endgame is subtitled 'Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival' and written by journalist and author Ovid Scobie, 42, who previously wrote a biography on Meghan and Harry titled Finding Freedom. In his new book, Scobie "pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil" in a bid to "show what the monarchy must change in order to survive". Publisher HarperCollins previously said the book will "have the world talking" and Scobie said it will reveal moments that royals should be "ashamed of".
Other explosive allegations inside the book include Meghan "never" wanting to "set foot again in England" as she has no wish to "dive back into the soap opera of the court". Scobie also claims Kate and Meghan's soured relationship is damaged beyond repair, and "every time she hears about Meghan, Kate shudders and giggles". The book continues to allege King Charles dismissed a desperate plea from Harry for an urgent meeting because he was "overworked" and instead "ordered an assistant to get rid of him with the excuse".
