Fern Britton sparks concern as exhausted star says she's been 'battered by life'
Fern Britton's army of fans have rallied around the TV favourite after she told the world she has been left feeling ‘battered' by life after a demanding few years.
The former This Morning host's candid admission came months after ex-husband Phil Vickery was spotted sharing a kiss with her former best friend.
Fern has also revealed that she has been suffering crippling bouts of pain after being diagnosed with Arthritis.
The 65-year-old greeted her 128,000 twitter followers but would have alarmed some with her confession.
“Good morning, how are you negotiating today’s bumps in the road?" she posted.
Phillip Schofield mocks Molly-Mae's baby name in cruel swipe at Love Island star"Being battered by life is exhausting but together we’ll survive it," vowed Fern.
There was plenty of support on offer and also lots of compliments after Channel 5 series No Place Like Home returned with the star returning to Cornwall.
"Just because your Fern Britton, doesn't mean you don't find life hard, Being on your own is a nightmare," one responded.
Another simply told her: "Keep moving forward Fern."
A third fan wrote: "It's good to know I'm not alone! Taking each day as it comes. Have a good day x."
Fern's health has taken a bit of a turn too but the good news is that she has already taken action.
Speaking to Women and Home, she revealed she is on a waiting list for a surgeon to sort it out.
She said: "I've got arthritis settling in everywhere. My knee is really bad and so is my shoulder.”
"It's very boring when your body starts to be in pain all the time."
In October, Fern's ex-husband Phil made headlines after he was pictured kissing Fern's best friend Lorraine Stanton in October.
Phil, who continues to appear as a chef on This Morning, denied a romance, and said they were just friends.
Fern and Phil had shocked fans with their decision to part ways in 2020 as they shared the news at the time in a joint statement.
It read: "After more than 20 happy years together, [we] have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children.
"We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time. Thank you for your continued kindness and support."
