Teen brothers stabbed in horror brawl outside NYC axe throwing bar
A teenage boy has been killed and his older brother badly injured after a stabbing outside an axe throwing bar in New York City.
The tragic stabbing took place early on Thanksgiving morning in lower Manhattan, police said. It's believed a fight erupted between two groups outside Live Axe - a venue where patrons can freely throw axes at confined targets. Police sources said an axe was not used in the incident.
The victim who died has been identified as 17-year-old Rocco Rodden. His 19-year-old brother was badly wounded but is in a stable condition. The incident happened around 1.50am in the Chinatown area on Lafayette St., police said. So far it is unclear what sparked the brawl.

Both brothers were stabbed in the torso. Although they were rushed to hospital Rocco was later pronounced dead. The area where the stabbing took place has been taped off by police. Several men were arrested at the scene by law enforcement and on Friday, police said 19-year-old Gianluca Bordone was charged with manslaughter and felony assault.

It read: "It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our own, Rocco Rodden.
"Rocco, a junior at SJR, left us in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rocco's family and friends." This came days before a man, a woman and a five-year-old boy were stabbed to death in the Bronx.
Police made the grizzly discovery at the building in the Bronx neighbourhood on early Sunday morning. They first found the man, believed to be 38, with stab wounds to his chest in the hallway on the first floor of the apartment. He was found at around 6.40pm, law enforcement sources revealed.
Upon looking through the window of a nearby apartment unit, police saw the child within. They broke in and there they also found the woman, who is believed to be 33.
She also suffered fatal stab wounds. Neighbours told reporters that the three had only recently moved into the unit. They were all pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
Police are desperately trying to work out what happened and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing. Knife crime is an ongoing problem in New York City with police fighting to bring it under control.
