Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in 2018, with the couple's glamorous and celebratory ceremony televised around the world and attended by a slew of famous faces.

The couple tied the knot on Saturday, May 19 2018, in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. While getting hitched, the Duchess of Sussex, 42, wore a gorgeous gown designed by Clare Waight Keller, with the designer now revealing what it was like to work with the former Suits actress.

During the week, the British designer was in attendance at the 2023 Bazaar At Work Summit in London where she spoke of working with Meghan in the time leading up to the biggest day in her life - marrying into the British Royal Family.

Speaking at the event, Clare gushed: "It was just a pleasure to create in this very, very private way," referring to the white gown she crafted for the star. "It was just the two of us for so long and it became this very personal girlfriend relationship," she added.

At the time of Meghan and Harry's nuptials, Clare spoke to reporters at Kensington Palace when she swooned: "It was an extraordinary moment. It was an incredible thing to be part of, such an historic moment and, in fact, to have the opportunity to work with her."

She then said that working with Meghan and creating the sleek gown was a "very collaborative" effort.

Following Meghan and Harry's wedding, the couple resided in the UK for a short while before deciding to move across the pond. The couple famously stepped down from being senior working Royals in early 2020, with them then relocating to Montecito, California that summer.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now reside in a lavish neighbourhood in California, surrounded by famous faces such as Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres. The couple are raising their children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, in the glitzy neighbourhood, with them even spotted out trick-or-treating during the Halloween period last month.
