The revealing book by longtime royal writer Omid Scobie, Endgame, says that Meghan Markle may have a more business-minded reason for skipping the coronation.

While it's always been assumed Meghan didn't show up for the royal event 'to avoid more Royal drama,' Scobie hinted at a more "significant" reason for missing Charles's coronation in May.

"It's now set her up to launch businesses and more creative projects that no one can ever say that she's... riding on the coattails of her royal connections because she has purposely tried to sever them," Scobie writes.

A source within the book revealed Markle is working on "something more accessible ... something rooted in her love of details, curating, hosting, life's simple pleasures, and family."

A pal of Meghan's told Scobie that the ex-actress is "busy working on creating something safe and timeless."

The Times released extracts from 'Endgame,' written by Omid Scobie, who was the Royals Editor for Yahoo until July. The book contains a number of rumours and bombshell revelations that could only have been known by a source close to the couple.

"I still don't quite understand what that business project will be because, as I spoke to people while writing the book, it changed about five times. So we'll see," says Scobie. Her main focus is reportedly "business and philanthropy", but since Netflix added Suits to its catalogue, the show that kick-started Meghan's career has become popular again.

Scobie thinks there might be a cameo role for her in the upcoming spin-off if she'd ever take it. When it comes to Harry, who hits 40 next year: "His focus, and this is what I was told by the team, is really building his work in the military space... within the US," Scobie vaguely mentions.

"There's a real potential there to grow something really impactful," the writer, known for his close relationship with the Sussexes, stated in the book.
