Strictly's Ellie Leach has 'confidence' in Vito Coppola, says Brooke Vincent
Ellie Leach's older cousin, Brooke Vincent, has gushed over her relative and growing confidence on Strictly Come Dancing.
The actress who found fame as Sophie Webster has revealed to the Mirror that she and her family love nothing more than sitting at home with their relatives each Saturday. But while Ellie may be out of her comfort zone, she's certainly impressing her loved ones and the judges.
Brooke, 31, explains that Ellie's dance partner and rumoured boyfriend, Vito Coppola has brought out a different side to the former Corrie star. In recent weeks, rumours surrounding Ellie and Vito have escalated with the professional dancer recently hinting that they are more than just dance partners or friends.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror at Hits Live Manchester, Brooke said of Ellie's Strictly experience: "I'm so glad that she's had this experience to be able to show people everything that we love about her. She's had this massive confidence boost and she's just getting better and better and for us to sit back at home and watch her, it's really really nice."
The star continued: "I just think she's what Strictly is all about, she didn't know how to dance and she's learning how to dance. Vito is a really lovely teacher. He pushes her and I think when someone comes in and sees a certain side of you that you've never experienced before or seen before, it's really, really nice that she's got confidence in him as well.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likeness"She's just dead cute, she's lovely, she's kind and dead sweet and I'm loving seeing her confidence grow. Every week it's a different dance and she just comes out and she's like BAM, we're all really proud of her."
During Saturday night’s show, Vito and Ellie performed a breathtaking Charleston to the sound of Girls Aloud's song Love Machine in a set resembling a funfair. And while the dance climaxed with Vito affectionately kissing Ellie’s cheeks while fireworks flared behind them, he downplayed the suggestion that there could have been real romance behind the intimate kisses.
Vito and Ellie appeared on the companion show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on Friday evening where show host Janette Manrara, 40, brought up the Blackpool week performance. Joking that Vito deserved an Oscar for his acting skills, she then asked: "How much does getting into character help you with the dance?"
A laughing Vito then said: "It helps me a lot because I was there, full of teddy bears, and I was like 'Choose me please! Choose me!' And, by the way, you didn't choose me." Ellie was watching Vito closely as he replied, and confirmed "No" when he mentioned that she didn't choose him during their performance.
