The latest in the long-running Final Fantasy series is currently 57% off in the Amazon Black Friday sale and sees the PS5 exclusive drop below £30.

Final Fantasy 16 launched back in June to critical acclaim, with Mirror Gaming awarding it 5/5 in our review. The game's Eikon system makes it a standout RPG, in a series filled with standout RPGs. While this game is a bonafide contender for game of the year, the mixture of a busy 2023 release schedule or its £69.99 price point may have caused some players to miss out on it at launch. Thankfully Amazon's Black Friday sale has you covered now that the slew of new releases has calmed down.

Amazon is currently offering a strong Final Fantasy 16 deal for £29.99 during its Black Friday 2023 sale, which is the lowest price we've seen the PS5 exclusive game at.

Whether you want to catch up on 2023 releases, or you want to pick something up as a Christmas present, Final Fantasy 16 is a solid choice all around, especially thanks to this Black Friday 2023 deal. Rather than being a typical RPG, Final Fantasy 16 stands out thanks to its strong action-heavy combat which was directed by Ryota Suzuki who is the combat director of Devil May Cry (a series that has some of the best combat mechanics in the industry).

Even though the gameplay isn't what we would refer to as classic Final Fantasy, the story certainly is. The writing is as sharp as you would expect from the series, with Clive Rosfield considered one of the best protagonists in the series. Which is only strengthened by the incredible voice cast including Ben Starr and Ralph Ineson. Plus it marks the Final Fantasy series' return to the classic high-fantasy setting for the first time since Final Fantasy 9 (if you exclude the MMOs).
