Ed Sheeran has shared a photo of himself with his wife Cherry Seaborn - ending months of fears that the couple were on the verge of a split.

The 32-year-old musician has been married to 31-year-old technology and digital risk manager Cherry since 2019 and together they share a three-year-old daughter named Lyra and a one-year-old daughter named Jupiter. Earlier this year, Ed released his seventh studio album, titled Autumn Variations, and within the lyrics of the song, there were references to a troubled relationship.

Devout dans of the flame haired chart topping pop singer feared the worst, and were braced for Ed and Cherry to eventually declare their love was dead and their marriage was over. But now, two months after the album’s release, Ed has hinted the marriage is still ongoing as he posted a photo of himself sitting opposite his wife at a dining table.

The dinner didn’t look overly romantic, however, as Ed and Cherry kept their distance for each other. And while Cherry pouted for the camera, Ed flipped the bird while also sporting a stone face expression.

He included the snap in among a number of other images and videos, along with a caption simply stating: “Virgin dump, more to come.” Other images showed Ed looking happier when he was sat alone on a train, and another showed him flashing a smile while standing, arms outstretched, and clutching a bottle of beer on a beach.

While the image of him and Cherry is the first time they've been snapped together since they popped out to celebrate her birthday back in April. The duo dined at Ed's restaurant, Bertie Blossoms, in Notting Hill at the time.

In September, fans freaked that Ed and Cherry’s marriage could be in crisis. In his song, titled Punchline, the divisive singer included lyrics that focused on an imploding romance. He crooned: “I can’t help but be destructive right now. It’s been weeks since I saw your outline. In my room is a silence so loud. This is what losing hope might sound like.”

And in the emotional chorus, he added: “I can’t help it but I love you so. I can’t take this letting go. I still feel like we could work it out or something. All I am is only flesh and bone. Why’s your heart so freezing cold?”

The snap of Ed and Cherry together didn’t go unnoticed by fans - with many taking to the comments section to make reference to the image. One such fan typed: "love these.. letting us peak in your private life world a bit.. Holiday prayers to you and little family Ed..thanks for a Great F**king Year!!"

"These pictures are awesome!! Hi Cherry!!!" and another gasped: "love seeing you and Cherry together."

Ed has previously described his marriage to Cherry as "unbreakable" having been at her side while she endured a cancer scare while she was pregnant with their first child. He declared earlier this year: “My dad said to me when I got married, ‘You will not know what real love and marriage is until there’s death and real sickness’. He said that because that happened when he first married my mum.

“There was real, real grief that happened in the family and real, real sickness that ended up in grief that they had to go through. He said that it really brought them together and once that happens it’s an unbreakable bond.

“I’ve been married now almost five years and I’ve always felt real, real closeness. But last year was when that unbreakable bond was made. I know you should feel that before with a marriage and children, but I really feel like ‘if we can get through 2022, we can get through anything’.”
