Adele's 'husband' Rich Paul's mysterious love life from famous ex to kid regrets

Adele's rumoured new husband has already done a lot of living.

Rich Paul is believed to have married Adele Adkins, with the superstar singer reportedly confirming her marriage to her sports agent boyfriend during Alan Carr's comedy gig in Los Angeles. The comedian asked the crowd if anyone had gotten married recently, to which Adele shouted 'I did', according to fans.

One ticket-holder shared: "It was a super small and intimate venue maybe 75 people. Adele was sitting right behind me with a friend having the best time. Her security only came in to bring her snacks. She didn't care if people knew she was there, heckling him as they're best friends. When he asked if anyone got married recently she yelled 'I did'".

Meanwhile, during an appearance on CBS Mornings last month, host Gayle King asked Rich, 41, if she could refer to Adele, 35, as "Mrs Paul". He replied: "You can say whatever you want." He then added: "It's not for the media", explaining he isn't the "type of person to put [his] personal life" in the spotlight.

The loved-up couple have now been together for two years, but who was he romantically connected to before meeting the Someone Like You star?

Adele and Rich started dating in 2021 after meeting at a party. They made their first known public appearance wearing coronavirus masks as they sat together for Game 5 of the NBA Finals in July 2021 and became Instagram official in September.

During an interview with American Vogue a month later, Adele gushed about her new boyfriend and said he had "always been there, I just didn't see him". Recalling their first meeting, she said Rich had been dancing while other guests were sitting around.

"I was a bit drunk," she recalled. "I said: 'Do you want to sign me? I'm an athlete now.'" The pair have been notoriously quiet about their romance, and expert Louella Alderson believes it's because they face a "unique set of challenges". Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: "Despite her superstar status, Adele has always lived a relatively private life, especially when it comes to her relationships.

According to People magazine, a source said Rich was previously in a relationship with Tobey Maguire's ex-wife Jennifer Meyer. She is a famous jewellery designer and was married to the Spiderman star for nine years, sharing daughter Ruby Sweetheart Maguire with him. The pair ended their marriage in 2016.

Meanwhile Rich is also a father of three from previous relationships, however it is unclear who the mum of the kids is. In an interview last year with E! Rich opened up about the struggles of having children at a young age whilst setting up his business - Klutch Sports Group, which he founded in 2012.

"As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough," he revealed. "But now looking as an older dad, if I was to have more kids, I’m looking forward to being a different dad." He said he hoped to be a more 'patient' father if he was to expand his family one day, and it appears that having more children isn't ruled out.

He has a daughter, now in junior college, and was "really looking forward to being an older dad." Before meeting Rich, Adele was married to Simon Konecki, with whom she shares son, Angelo. The couple were married for eight years and split in 2019.

During a performance in Las Vegas this year, she reportedly became overwhelmed as she recalled their separation, which she described as "really traumatic." Taking a break from singing for a chat with the audience, she reportedly said: "A relationship falling apart, whether you're married or not, it's really difficult and it's really traumatic. Keep your friends close to you because they're better than any man, better than any woman. Your friends are for life."
