Black Friday may not officially be until the end of the week, but there’s already some amazing money-saving deals that save shoppers hundreds of pounds and give them access to thousands of films and shows on Netflix. There’s tons of great content heading to the streaming platform in the run up to Christmas.

The first half of The Crown’s final season is streaming now, while all episodes of the animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off have just dropped. What’s more, the real-life Squid Game game show, Squid Game: The Challenge launches next week.

December sees the arrival of some blockbuster films, including Bradley Cooper’s biopic of conductor Leonard Bernstein, stop-motion sequel Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and Zack Snyder’s epic space opera Rebel Moon. All of this great content and thousands more films and shows are available to stream with a subscription to Netflix.

The streaming giant has recently updated its price plans in a bid to boost its revenue amid falling subscribers and competition from rival streamers. Signing up to Netflix now costs £4.99 for its Standard with Adverts plan, £10.99 a month for its Standard plan and £17.99 a month for its Premium plan.

But savvy shoppers can access Netflix for free if they're looking to upgrade their TV subscriptions elsewhere this winter, thanks to some money saving Black Friday entertainment bundles with other providers.

Sky

Sky is offering Netflix for free with a bargain Black Friday deal that also includes Apple TV+ for £19 a month. Shoppers can get this entertainment bundle with Sky Stream, Sky TV, Netflix and six months of free Apple TV+ and save £126 in the process.

It gives members access to premium Sky channels like Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, Sky Documentaries and Comedy Central, plus all the must-see shows on Netflix and Apple TV+. Apple’s streaming platform – which usually costs £8.99 a month – has just premiered the first episode of its Godzilla spin-off, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, while season three of Slow Horses and Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks’ upcoming WWII epic Masters of the Air are just on the horizon.

Those looking to upgrade their broadband can also add Sky’s Superfast broadband with 61Mb/s for an extra £17 a month.

Virgin

Virgin Media customers can also bag Netflix as part of several of its bundles. Virgin’s Mega Volt bundle may be more expensive than Sky, but customers are getting loads for their money.

This Black Friday deal has seen this great bundle slashed by £15 a month to £70. While that definitely sounds like a lot, it includes Virgin’s ultrafast M500 fibre broadband with 516MB/s download speeds and an O2 mobile SIM with unlimited calls, texts and 5G data.

Members can watch more than 230 premium TV channels on Virgin’s TV 360 box, including the biggest and best movies on Sky Cinema, 10 Sky Sports channels including Premier League and F1, plus Netflix’s Standard plan at no extra cost. The bundle also includes a free add-on for six months with O2, with members able to choose from Disney+, Amazon Prime, Audible, Cafeyn, Amazon Music Unlimited, McAfee Mobile Security Plus or O2’s International Bolt On.

While this is certainly pricey compared to Sky’s deal, customers are getting loads for their money and saving £270 over the 18-month term compared to its usual price.

EE

Those in the market for a new mobile phone can get Netflix included with certain plans at EE. When choosing a contract with an inclusive extra, the streaming service can be added at no extra cost.

The new Samsung Galaxy S23 with 128GB storage is currently available with a whopping 125GB of 5G data as part of EE’s All Rounder Plan, more than enough for spending hours browsing the web and streaming music or videos on the go. Customers can add Netflix’s Standard with Ads plan – formerly known as the Basic plan – as their inclusive extra.

All of this comes in at £46 a month with a £30 up front payment. EE also offers Apple TV+ for six months at no extra cost, while Samsung offers 12 month of Disney+ for free with eligible devices.

EE members can also upgrade their inclusive Netflix subscription to the Standard plan for an extra £4 a month or Premium for an extra £9 a month. EE’s plan compares well to O2’s 125GB data plan at £51.70 a month plus £30 up front and Three’s unlimited data plan at £55.38 a month plus £30 up plus 12-months of free Paramount+.
