Newsboy's racing tips for Monday's four meetings, including Exeter Nap
NICKY HENDERSON has struck a rich vein of form with his two big-race winners yesterday at Cheltenham, and he can continue the run at Exeter this afternoon with ARCLIGHT in the Exeter Mares' Novices' Chase (3.00) over an extended two miles and a furlong.
She made her chasing debut in a handicap at Kempton Park 29 days ago after six-month lay-off, and the daughter of Champs Elysees could not have been more impressive in the 2m 2f event, jumping well throughout.
Even after a mistake at the last, she scored by an easy three and a half lengths from the favourite Notnowlinda. There a sure to be more to come.
Earlier on the card, KING TURGEON looks tough to beat in the three-mile Haldon Forest Handicap Chase (1.50).
David Pipe’s five-year-old carries top weight, but the French import has been running well this year on testing ground, despite having his fair share of poundage to lug around.
He scored on his second start for the yard back in March at Fontwell and on his most recent run 12 days ago was a strong second at Chepstow.
