Mum sparks fury after sharing daughter's messy bedroom transformation
A house-proud mum has transformed her daughter's "scary" bedroom from a dirty mess into a clean and fresh space.
Swnoenne, has raked in over four million views on her TikTok page where she shares her cleaning hacks. The mum-of-two, who says she finds tidying up "fun and entertaining", recently shared the state of her daughter's bedroom which she described as "spooky". The mum found the room covered in food wrappers, dirty clothes, toys in disarray, as well as art and craft supplies scattered on the floor.
Snowenne recently had a house renovation - including brand new carpets being installed - but says she does not trust her daughter with a new carpet in her room until she starts showing she can keep it clean. The cleaning hack-loving mum said her teen's bedroom was in need of a "reset".
The mum said: "It's time to clean my daughter's scary room. It's been a while since we've done this. And, obviously she still isn't on top of cleaning it. She is still doing a lot of arts and crafts, and doing what she does best. But, we will get there eventually."
The mum kindly hangs up her daughter's clothes, puts away her toys, hair accessories, crayons and pencils, before using a vacuum cleaner on the messy floor and spraying odour-fighting products on her bedding and curtains. The mum also scrubbed paint splatters off of the carpet and furniture as well as wiping down all the surfaces.
Mum's touching gesture to young son who died leaves Morrisons shopper in tearsWhile many were blown away by Snowenne's cleaning, the mum has faced backlash from some parents. One mum said: "My cleaning method is that I would throw all of it away. If they don't care enough to keep their room clean, then I don't care enough to sort through it."
Another added: "'Not in a million years would my mum let my bedroom get in that state in the first place." A third commented: "In my opinion, children should be taught to pick up after themselves and in this way they are cultivated to have at least one good habit."
"Can't she keep it clean, I clean my room every weak," another said. Others rushed to support the mum. One individual commented: "What a wonderful mama. Recognising that she needed some help to get her things in order."
A second said: "My mum used to do this for me as a depressed teen and now I return the favour for her in her old age. Respect works both ways."
Another added: "You are a wonderful momma helping out your daughter. My mum always just forced me to do it or told me it was cross, to the point where I couldn't' handle it." "I'm sure she appreciate it, great job mama," another said.
