Black Friday 2023 is set to start a week early as Amazon launches thousands of deals a week before the official date of Black Friday itself.

Amazon has confirmed its Black Friday sales begin at one minute past midnight on Friday 17 November, a full seven days before Black Friday sales usually begin. The online retailer has launched a week of sales instead of a single day and thousands of items have been cut in price in time for the big sale. To get access to the deal you will need to sign up for a free Prime trial here.

Early sales this week have seen discounts on games consoles including the PS5, XBox and Nintendo Switch, as well as Ninja air fryers, Amazon Fire TVs and even Dyson and Shark vacuum cleaners. However the best sales have been saved until the official launch of the sale, which begins in just a couple of hours.

Here at the Mirror we have seen a sneak peek of the deals early and our team of experts have been picking through the tens of thousands of deals to find the ones that are real value to you. Stay tuned as we go live with the best deals and discounts as they go live, giving you the best chance to bag a bargain before they sell out.

All deals have been checked by our editorial experts and our recommendations come from our thousands of reviews of items so you can be sure what you're buying is the best value possible. Dehumidifier perfect for tackling condensation

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts early (CONOPU )

While Black Friday deals are often a great way to splurge on a new gadget or buy someone a great Christmas gift, one of the biggest sellers on Amazon today seems to be proof that savvy shoppers are also using it as a way to tackle issues around the home.

The Conopu dehumidifier is currently 24% off, taking it down to £55.99, while a smaller capacity sister model is an even-more-budget-friendly £39.99.

Dehumidifiers definitely don't feel like the most exciting product to pick up in the sales but as someone who bought one last year I now swear by mine. It takes the moisture out of the air meaning we don't end up with condensation when drying clothes and, when my roof leaked this winter, it helped dry out the damage within hours minimising the impact on my home.

Shoppers who've picked up this one seem similarly impressed with it, with it having racked up more than 4,000 largely positive reviews with an average rating of 4 stars out of 5.

One shopper commented: "My old, peltier dehumidifier died after about 7 years of use, and I needed a replacement - something just as compact and light, and of similar energy efficiency. This fit the bill perfectly. It seems decently made, doesn't take up a lot of space in my workshop, doesn't use much electricity, and keeps the humidity within reasonable limits - stops my tools suffering from condensation and rust.

"This unit incorporates twin peltier condensers and it's quite a lot more effective than the devices which have only one (they're pretty much useless unless you ony want to dehumidify a cupboard). Nevertheless, it has its limits - it is a low power device, but it draws water out of the air at a steady rate. If you have a real damp problem you'll need a compressor-type dehumidifier, but this does the job I want it to. It's inexpensive, very quiet, has decent features, and doesn't use a lot of electricity.

"Provided you know the limits of these small dehumidifiers, this one is a pretty good one with good features and good function - and for a very fair price."

Another deal that won't cost the earth - Suri sustainable toothbrushes at lowest ever price

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts earlySuri toothbrushes are sustainable, fully recyclable and stylish (Suri)

For many of us electric toothbrushes are the best way to get teeth feeling zingy fresh. But with so many on the market with various different selling points it can be hard to know where to start - although Mirror Choice's Lucy Addicott recently did a group test of many of the biggest names available right now, several of which are already on offer for Black Friday.

But while Suri toothbrushes weren't part of the group review, as a relative newcomer to the market they've caused quite a stir with shoppers since their launch, with the brand being named one of the most innovative companies of recent times (alongside Tesla, which might leave Elon Musk raising an eyebrow).

Fully recyclable and with a plant-based, plastic-free toothbrush head, Suri toothbrushes have all the power of any of the usual players (and I can vouch for this as I recently started using one) but are much more environmentally friendly. If you want the sustainable credentials of using a bamboo toothbrush but, yannow, really want to feel like your teeth are gleamingly clean with a sonic-style brush this is a really solid option, getting up to 33,000 brush strokes per minute, putting it firmly up there with the other industry leaders. Meanwhile Suri says it can last up to 40 days on a single charge which is actually way better than other toothbrushes I've owned (although, full disclosure: I've not been using it that long yet so can't confirm independently).

Everything we know about new sci-fi series The Power so far - from cast to plotEverything we know about new sci-fi series The Power so far - from cast to plot

It's been reduced for Black Friday season both at Suri's own website where you also get it gift-wrapped for free if you're planning on giving it as a present for Christmas, as well as through Boots and Amazon.

There's two different versions available with both coming in four different colourways. For £56.25 for Black Friday you can get the brush with charger and a neat magnetic mirror mount perfect for ensuring that your brush doesn't end up accruing toothpaste sludge on the side of the sink. Meanwhile, regular travellers might want to pay a little extra for the premium version which, at £71.25 in the sale includes a UV case which not only cleans your toothbrush but also acts as an on-the-go charger.

Sometimes making an environmentally conscious choice feels like a compromise where you sacrifice usability and performance for conscience but in my mind Suri toothbrushes are as good as the usual suspect toothbrush brands we'll see on retailers' shelves this Christmas and, with 25% off meaning they're more affordable than at any point this year so far, now is a great time to give them a try.

Save up to £84 on SMEG retro cool kitchen gadgets

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts early

If you're looking for some chic new kitchen gadgets without breaking the bank then eBay might not be the first place you think of checking out this Black Friday - but we definitely suggest you move it up the list.

The popular site doesn't just sell pre-loved items by auction, with plenty of big name brands' products available in the refurbished hub, meaning the items have been inspected, cleaned and refurbished by the manufacturer itself or an approved seller.

Among the brands available is the retro, pastel-coloured icon SMEG, with eBay is offering 30% off their refurbished appliances like kettles, toasters, stand mixers and coffee machines on eBay until Cyber Monday for shoppers using the code SMEGBF30.

Offers that have caught our eye include this 1950s-style stand mixer reduced to £195.99 from £179.99 and matching coffee machine, reduced to £146.99 both of which are brand new, never been used customer returns in mint condition.

All refurbished items come with a one-year guarantee for added peace of mind and alongside the saving shoppers can also feel happy they've helped keep items out of landfill unnecessarily. What's more it's not just SMEG products available with this refurbished guarantee - if you've been looking to replace your mattress then Simba memory foam mattresses are also available with some huge discounts taking them down to as little as £218.

Straighteners 'better than ghd' reduced to lowest price of the year

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts earlyThe Remington Shine Therapy Straightener has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating (Remington)

For beauty lovers, Black Friday provides the opportune chance to restock your makeup bag, try out some new skincare products, or shop some Christmas gifts ahead of the December rush. But it’s also a great time to get a deal on some of those higher-value items like hair dryers, stylers and straighteners.

Amazon has launched discounts of up to 61% on haircare (and ironically hair removal) electrical gadgets from big names including Braun, ghd and Philips, but don't forget to look elsewhere for deals too.

Boots has reduced the price of beauty writer Bethan Shufflebotham's favourite , making them the lowest price they’ve been all year.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for a new hairdryer as well as straighteners this Revamp Forever Love Gift Set bundle, reduced to less than half price from £199.99 to £94.99 at Currys, Argos and Very is worth a look.

Not only does it come with a limited edition 2500w high torque, infrared hair dryer and Ultra X Shine extra long ceramic hair straighteners but you get a host of extras including a velvet beauty bag, large paddle brush, silk scrunchie and claw clip to help get to grips with your styling.

Best SIM deal

The biggest deal on the Three website is £25 a month for unlimited data on a 24-month contract but the network says it will launch new Black Friday deals in the coming days. Meanwhile, Sky Mobile is selling a 100GB SIM for £18 per month. The deal is half price compared to the usual £36 monthly cost.

Lyca Mobile has launched the budget SIM deal in time for Black Friday and it is available on a 30-day rolling contract, meaning customers can cancel the contract at any time. The budget mobile provider has also cut the price of a 200GB SIM card to £9.99, which is the cheapest on the market.

The 12 month contracts are available now on the Lyca Mobile website and both offers include unlimited UK calls, texts, EU roaming and 5G at no extra cost. Customers are also to get both SIMs in either physical or eSIM.

Calling all gamers...

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts earlyMETA Quest 2 VR Gaming Headset - 128 GB, £399 - Currys

Tech writer Chris has just described this as possibly the best tech deal on Amazon today and gamers among us just might agree with him.

With the Meta Quest 3 out in time for Christmas there are some fantastic deals on the earlier gen version of the VR gaming phenomenon. While die-hard gamers might want the newest version (and there are key differences including a huge increase in processing power), the launch means Meta Quest 2 has been reduced to its lowest ever price - and with a handy additional perk in an Amazon Black Friday deal.

The Meta Quest 2 128Gb headset is reduced by 44%, taking it down to £249 and comes with a £50 Amazon gift card perfect for spending on games as a special Black Friday Bundle.

Amazon has said this deal is available for 10 days but could finish earlier 'if units allocated to the deal sell out.' We're certainly not expecting it to stick around that long so if you have your eye on this one we'd recommend moving fast.

Of course if you're buying it for Christmas the big decision is whether you snaffle the gift card for yourself or give it to the lucky recipient of the headset to get games and accessories to go with it...

Parents snap up Toniebox deals across multiple retailers

LIVE: Amazon Black Friday deals first look as sale starts early

Whether you know what Tonies are will depend largely on whether you have young children in your life but we're seeing a lot of interest from parents snapping up deals on the hugely popular cult music box this morning as a host of Black Friday discounts have gone live on the brand, not just on Amazon but elsewhere.

The screen-free, squishy speaker-style gadget is perfect for children of all ages as, once you've bought the Toniebox, you can get more than 200 different characters to interact with it, bringing educational songs, stories and music ranging from Cocomelon and the Gruffalo for littlies through to Spider-Man, Batman and iconic Disney characters likely to appeal to older children.

For children who haven't got a Toniebox yet, the best Black Friday deal is a Toniebox Build Your Own Bundle. As well as getting the digital music box in a choice of six bright colours, you can then chose three, five or seven Tonies to use with the speaker. Prices start at £92, saving £32 on buying the elements separately. There are also pre-made bundles ranging from the Paw Patrol Crew to Julia Donaldson.

But the brand's own site isn't the only place to bag a bargain on Tonies this Black Friday. Currys, John Lewis, Boots, Argos and WHSmith all have discounts of at least 20% on the gadgets while Amazon has a wide range of different money saving bundles with different characters.

Meanwhile, if bedtime is difficult, Natural Baby Shower is selling a Sleepy Toniebox Bundle for £91, saving 26% and including the starter Creative-Tonie alongside a Sleepy Sheep nightlight and Nap Time Tonie who tells bedtime stories and plays calming music creating the perfect pre-bedtime routine.

Parents have praised Tonies as being the ideal way to prepare children for starting school, helping children discover new words and improving speech through additional educational yet entertaining content. Others have said the music boxes help establish bedtime routines in younger toddlers.

Lightning deal on 'game-changing' Ninja Speedi - but you'll need to be quick!

One of Ninja's most popular kitchen gadgets of 2023 has been reduced on Amazon this morning, but shoppers keep to snap one up need to be Speedi (sorry). The Ninja Speedi in an Amazon exclusive copper colour is live now reduced to £139.99 on a Lightning Deal, but with 40% of the allocation already claimed it won't hang around long.

I have a vested interest in flagging this deal because I reviewed it earlier this year for Mirror Choice when it came out and, for me and my beige food-loving children it genuinely was a game-changer for midweek meals while juggling working from home. While the Speedi has all the functionality of other Ninja airfryers it has a special Speedi mode which allows you to fast cook meals, usually with a carbohydrate on the bottom of the tray and then a protein on the top, within around 15-20 minutes with minimal faff and washing up (the pan actually can go in the dishwasher). You can see some of the meals I've made with it here for inspiration although we've also used the amazing Poppy Cooks Airfryer book since to adapt some other family-friendly options.

If you miss the lightning deal though don't despair. Ninja has reduced the original grey/blue colour version of the Speedi on their site today and you can actually pick it up for £1.99 cheaper at £138 although depending on the colour preference you might prefer the posh Amazon copper on your kitchen counter.

Good morning

Ready for some more deals action? Let's start with a ridiculous deal on an Echo Pop.

Amazon has cut the price of its devices including the Kindle, Kindle Fire HD, Echo Dot and Amazon Fire Stick devices. They include the Echo Pop smart speaker, the budget Echo Dot-like speaker with voice control. The speaker usually costs £44.99 but is reduced to just £17.99 in the Black Friday week-long sale.

Shoppers can stack deals to get the speaker for just £2.54 by signing up to deals website Topcashback. Signing up is free and all new members get £15 in cashback when they order the smart speaker, plus another 3% off the price. The deal brings the price of an Echo Pop during Black Friday down to £2.54.

Until then enjoy your shopping!

Half price Sony headphones

The Sony WF-C500 have been dubbed the 'best cheap wireless headphones on the market' by reviewers and usually cost £90 on Amazon. They very briefly dropped to below £43 last year for a couple of days only and now Amazon has cut the price to its lowest level in a year.

The headphones are £45 in the Amazon Black Friday sale after initially being reduced to £55 in the last few weeks. The headphones are the most cost-effective in the Sony wireless range, sitting below the WF-C700N, Linkbuds S and the range-topping WF-1000XMS. With a 20 hour battery life and fast charging, they are one of a number of headphone deals in the new Amazon sale.

Amazon deals are live!

The deals are now live and there is already a cracking PS5 deal.

You can get your hands on a down from £539.99 which is staggering £130 off. You can also get the standard edition of the game on the PS4 and on Xbox One for the.

Fans can now get the with 29% off working out at £49.99 while you can get the Playstation 5 itself in the Black Friday sale which is down from its original price of £479.99. The offers are expected to be snapped up fast and, with a PS5+EA FC24 currently on and onfor the same price, this makes the Amazon deal one of the cheapest around.

Nearly time for Amazon

Are you ready? We're now just minutes away from Amazon's Black Friday deals.

Stay tuned for the sale....

Virgin Media is taking on Sky

It is not only Sky that has dropped prices a week before Black Friday.

Virgin has also dropped a host of hot deals, including slashing the price of its Mega Volt bundle by £15 to £70 a month. This includes fast broadband with a whopping 516MB/s average download speed and an O2 mobile SIM with unlimited calls, texts and 5G data.

What’s more, members can watch more than 230 premium TV channels on Virgin’s TV 360 box, which includes Sky Cinema HD, Sky Sports HD, plus Netflix’s Standard plan at no extra cost. The bundle also includes an extra add-on free for six months with O2, with members able to choose from Disney+, Amazon Prime, Audible, Cafeyn, Amazon Music Unlimited, McAfee Mobile Security Plus or O2’s International Bolt On.

Nintendo Switch deal

I have been keeping an eye on Nintendo Switch deals. The best model on the market is the OLED version, with a better quality screen and increased battery life. Previously I've never seen it drop below £300 but it has finally happened.

You can get the OLED version in red on Argos for £299. An early contender for the best Nintendo Switch deal of Black Friday.

Deals to look out for

I love Amazon's Echo Dot. I use it for radio, news, to access emails and even to online shop. There are always deals on Amazon's devices and this year should be no different.

The latest version of the Echo Show is the Echo Show 5 (3rd generation) 2-pack + Philips Hue White Smart Light Bulb LED which is priced at £94.98 down from £193.97 for a limited time, but it could see further reductions taking it down even further in price and is one to keep an eye on.

This Echo Dot (5th generation, 2022 release) is currently priced at £59.99, but it was reduced to £26.99 in last year's Black Friday event, so you could potentially save £33 once the event gets underway.

What can we expect?

We're not just guessing here. Amazon has leaked more information than ever before about the Black Friday 2023 sale and it did give us a hefty list of brands that will be reduced.

They include 57% off Amazon devices including Echo Pop and Echo Show 5, the Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max, the Kids Pro Tablets, Fire TV Omni QLED Series, eero devices and Kindle Scribe. Other deals include 40% off Ring doorbells, 60% off on fragrances and 40% off smart phones.

Amazon says: "Amazon will kick off Black Friday Week on 17 th November 00.01am GMT, with new deals going live every day until 11.59pm GMT on 27 th November.

"The shopping event will include Amazon’s best prices of the year so far on a wide variety of top brands, from homeware and electronics to health and beauty, as well as a range of fast convenient delivery options."

Mirror readers' favourite deal of the week

I've been looking at some data. Because what else can you do two hours before Black Friday actually begins?

Over the last week the most popular deal our consumer team has found is a kettle. To be fair it's a pretty fancy kettle.

I'll let our writer Bethan Shufflebotham take over at this point:

It’s apparently the and half of that is probably me telling everyone I meet how blooming great my kettle is. I’m not a particularly gadget-y person or tech fanatic by any means. I don’t have the latest iPhone and I’ve had the same laptop for about eight years - but getting a has been life changing.

I have to admit, I thought the novelty would wear off after a few weeks, but this is far from a gimmick and really puts the fun into functionality, adding tech into the home that is convenient and seamless, which is why I named it our

There are deals live now

We have some friendly tech writers here and one of them, Harriet Morphy-Morris, has been covering Sky's Black Friday offering for a couple of years now. Sky is one of the retailers that has actually launched Black Friday even earlier than Amazon so these deals are some of the earliest opportunities to bag a bargain.

Harriet says the Sky Stream, which allows you to watch Sky channels without a satellite dish, is the best of the deals.

The Sky Stream box set has just dropped to £19 a month, from an original £26. It comes with over £125 with savings split across its nifty Sky Stream device, Sky Entertainment and Netflix.

And after following its popular price drops on the box top set it's the cheapest it's been in a long time. The provider recently offered the device for £0 for the first month and then £29 for the remaining 17 months and even though the eye-catching £0 may have caught a lot of shoppers' eyes it worked out at £522 compared to the current £342 Black Friday price.

Deals begin in three hours

Are you sat down? Comfortable? Great.

Amazon's 2023 Black Friday sale begins in three hours and I have spent all week picking through the best deals you can possibly get. There are a lot of them and our team of experts has some cracking recommendations.

In the meantime there are some deals that we think are best in class already. For example if you are signed up to Amazon Prime membership (you can get a free one month trial here) you may be lucky enough to get an invitation to buy a 55-inch Fire TV for just £150.

The stock will be limited but that is an incredible price. It's a saving of over £400. The smart TV is really very good. Having bought a 43-inch version for £150 in the Prime Day sale earlier in the year I can confirm the 55-inch deal is absolutely ridiculous value.

I asked our TV expert for a bit of info on this one:

This snazzy 55” Amazon Fire smart TV offers brilliant 4K Ultra HD at up to 60 fps to deliver a crystal clear picture with vivid colour and brightness whether you’re watching TV, streaming or gaming. Its built-in Dolby Digital Plus offers advanced surround sound across multiple compatible devices.

Amazon Prime members can save £400 on this TV with an exclusive invite-only deal that’s also available with Prime’s 30-day free trial. The deal has seen Amazon dramatically reduce the price of the TV by a whopping 73 percent to £149.99 from £549.99 – that’s £280 cheaper than the smaller 43” model.
