BBC's Strictly's Bobby Brazier cosies up to Angela Scanlon in Blackpool
Bobby Brazier appeared to be a welcome supply of warmth for fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon as they toured Blackpool ahead of this weekend’s live shows.
The long-running BBC dance competition returns to the iconic Blackpool Ballroom this weekend for the annual live show from the north of England. And the cast of celebrities and their professional dance partners have taken to the streets to take in the sights of the ballroom capital.
The weather in Blackpool is far from sunny, however, as rain has been lashing the landscape and temperatures have been a bitter eight degrees. However, it seems 20-year-old soap actor Bobby has been expecting the worst and wrapped up in a thick, fluffy coat as he took to the pavements. While 39-year-old TV presenter Angela sported a snakeskin leather coat. The duo were spied walking through the streets of Blackpool together and appeared to be in high spirits.

Bobby has also been having fun in Blackpool with his dance partner Dianne Buswell (Instagram)Perhaps feeling the elements, Angela walked close to Bobby, who put a friendly arm around her and pulled him close to his teddy-bear-like coat. It wasn’t just Angela that Bobby was rubbing shoulders with - as he also delighted devoted fans who camped out in vile weather conditions in order to meet the star.
Taking to instagram Stories, Bobby shared a selfie of himself with some fans who were all flashing excited expressions. The re-post, originally shared by a fan, stated: “Waiting in the rain was so worth it. Thank you for taking time to speak to us Bobby.”

Bobby also spent some time with his Strictly pro dance partner Dianne Buswell, 34, and they took in sights together. Taking to Instagram Stories, Dianne shared footage of her and Bobby goofing around beside the seaside.
Dianne gasped: “We’re in Blackpool. We’re on the beach. I can hear seagulls.We’re opposite Coral Island [and the sea life centre] Fun lang over there. It’s a very colourful place. It’s got everything you need and more.”
This weekend will see the celebs and their partners dance in front of the judges from inside the iconic Blackpool ballroom hall. While Bobby and Dianne are expected to do well, vintage broadcaster Angela Rippon, 79, and her dance partner Kai Widdrington, 28, are expected to be voted off this week.
Sam Boswell, spokesperson of BetVictor, predicts: “In the elimination market, Angela Rippon is the favourite to be the next celebrity eliminated at 1/2. Angela and her dance partner Kai are dancing American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald. She has survived both dance-offs, firstly against Adam and last weekend against Krishnan. I think she’s at risk this weekend.”
