Prince Harry had shoppers rushing to buy Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream this year after he revealed he used the product on his 'frostbitten todger'.

In his tell-all memoir Spare, which was released on January 10, the Duke of Sussex recounted how a trip to the North Pole in 2011 left his genitals injured. He went on to share details about healing the frostbite with Elizabeth Arden's cult-classic formula - which his late mother Princess Diana loved.

If you're keen to try it, the famous skincare buy now has 36% off at Amazon as the online giant launches its 2023 Black Friday sale (November 17-27). It's usually £28, but customers can now get their hands on a tube for just £18.05.

The best-selling cream quickly became out of stock at major retailers after Prince Harry's comments about it went viral. It's been loved by beauty fans for decades, and even before the royal's revelation, one jar would sell every 30 seconds somewhere in the world.

So why is Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream so popular? Well, the award-winning skin protectant delivers intense nourishment to legs, lips, cuticles and more - no wonder it has an average rating of 4.7 on the Amazon website.

In a five-star review, one delighted fan said of the cream: "I ran out of this - last tube lasted for YEARS - bought new and happy to have it again - it heals and soothes - if you have a spot developing, this will reduce it overnight - if you have a cut or a sore bit, this will sort it, dry lips, the lot - well worth the price."

Another shopper used the Elizabeth Arden product after undergoing a tattooing treatment. "It does indeed protect and hydrate your skin and heeled my tattoos perfectly," the customer wrote.

And a third person raved: "Eight hour cream was used by at least two generations of my family and that it is still made and sold in its original formula says much. Great for skin conditioning (particularly dry hand and nails) after surgery, which is why I got it."

But some reviewers weren't too pleased with the texture of the cream, with one saying it felt "greasy and sticky" and another claiming it took "hours" to absorb.

Customers can purchase the 50ml Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream here for £18.05. If you'd prefer a smaller tube, the 30ml version has 33% off at Amazon, making it only £10.80.

A similar product from Boots will set you back only £5 in the retailer's latest sale, perfect if you're on a budget. You can buy it here.
