Love Island Games fans heartbroken as Liberty Poole is sent home
Love Island Games viewers were heartbroken as fan favourite star Liberty Poole was sent home after dramatic duel against Jessica Losurdo.
During Wednesday evening's episode, former UK Love Island star Liberty was eliminated from the show after a heated duel against Jessica as they were vying for their place in the games as the two most vulnerable female contestants. In the tense match, the pair were placed in a ring to wrestle against on another and were given sensory deprivation masks that made it so they couldn't hear or see their surroundings.
After three close matches, Jessica took home the victory and was awarded by being able to continue her journey in the games as Liberty as sent home. During the season, Liberty was paired with Callum. The pair decided to stick together as friends throughout the games competing in challenges together as they both continued to search for love. After their heartwarming friendship, many fans were disappointed to see them broken up.

After the news of Liberty's elimination viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their disappointment over the pair's journey ending. One fan wrote: "In another universe, callum and liberty stayed in the villa til the end and fulfilled their friends to lovers prophecy" and another agreed: "their moments together we're always so chaotic and funny, imma miss lib so much." And a third added: "thank you CALLUM AND LIBERTY for probably one of the best friendship couplings of Love Island yet."
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and TanyelOthers commented on how they wished Liberty won the competition over Jessica. One fan wrote: "I WANTED LIB TO WIN SO BAD. I'm sick of Jessica!" and another replied: "Seriously!! She was so sweet fun and bubbly. Jess cool or whatever but I really wanted Lib to stay and at least find someone." And another joked about the tense match-up and wrote: "I was screaming at the tv like I'm watching football."
Liberty joined Love Island Games following her previous appearance on the UK version of Love Island joining the cast in season seven of the hit dating show in 2021. During her season she was coupled with her fellow contestant Jake but decided to split following a series if disagreements between the two. Tension began when Jake teased that her messiness was giving him the "ick" to which Liberty felt offended by and admitted that she "needed to be true to herself" and said that she didn't believe Jake loved her.
