Man gets 'Shrek tattoo' plastered across his forehead and people have questions

A man has claimed he 'tattooed' his forehead with the name of the famous animated ogre, Shrek, in a move which has left people completely baffled.

Harry Brown, 25, paid a visit to his usual tattoo artist Will Thompson, 33, for the strange request, and in a video on TikTok, he could be seen getting the DreamWorks animated icon's name stencilled onto his forehead in the same font that's used as the logo for the Shrek films. The video then showed Harry supposedly getting the word tattooed onto his skin, but not everyone is convinced about the validity of the viral clip.

Tattoo artist Will, from Brighton, shared the video on his TikTok account, and later said: "When I asked Harry why he wanted the tattoo, he stated 'Shrek is love, Shrek is life'."

The viral video received hundreds of comments, and while some were simply baffled that anyone would go through with such a bizarre tattoo, others claimed there was no way the clip was real, as Harry had no redness or swelling once the 'inking' was finished.

One person wrote: "If only it was real," while another said: "No swelling, redness, or vibrating of the needle," and a third posted: "Surely not??". There were several others who weren't convinced either, including some who actually do have tattoos dedicated to their favourite ogre. One woman commented: "I have a Shrek tattoo, but if this is legit, that is dedication."

Will, who works at Heritage Tattoo Studio in Brighton, even played coy about the validity of Harry's 'tattoo' when asked, as he hit out at people's "cynical reactions" but at the same time said those who know him thought the video was "hilarious". He explained: "I've never seen a man happier in my whole life. Knowing Harry for a while, I was not at all surprised by his request. I've seen a lot of cynical reactions, but most people loved it. To be honest, a lot of people who know me well for what I do thought it was hilarious."

The bizarre 'tattoo' comes after a woman seemingly got her boyfriend's name 'tattooed' on her forehead. Ana Stanskovsky took to TikTok to show herself supposedly getting the word 'Kevin' inked across the top of her head, but her video left many people sceptical, with one celebrity tattoo artist even claiming the video was "100% fake".

And in an update this week, Ana who racked up tens of millions of views on the video-sharing platform, admitted it was all a ruse. Posting another video to social media, where she wiped off the name Kevin from her forehead, she explained: "All I want to say is that I regret my tattoo ... but not this one. Because this is not actually a real tattoo."
