Ryan Reynolds brought Andy Dibble to tears of joy with a personal message

Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds brought Andy Dibble to tears by sending him a message after his son Christian left the club in January.

Andy Dibble, a former Wales international and a member of the promotion-winning Wrexham team in 2002-03, is the goalkeeping coach at Accrington Stanley. His team is scheduled to face Wrexham in a League Two matchup on Saturday.

Despite playing against Wrexham, Dibble had only commendations for Wrexham co-chairman Reynolds. This admiration stems from Reynolds's comments regarding Crristian's choice to pursue new endeavors, which was made in January.

"When Christian left Wrexham, Ryan sent me a private message on Twitter," said Dibble, who also played for Cardiff, Manchester City, and Luton in his career. "It was fantastic, and it made me feel so proud."

"Ryan was really kind. He thanked me for Christian's service to Wrexham and talked about him as a goalkeeper, but more than anything," he continued. "He said how proud I should be for bringing up a special son. It brought a bit of a tear to my eye, really. I did not expect somebody with his fame to message me, but it meant so much to me. It was really special."

Wrexham heads into their upcoming match with a strong 11-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, which has propelled them to second place in League Two. Meanwhile, Accrington, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, is currently sitting in eighth place and hoping to return to League One.

In addition to his role as an owner, Reynolds has gained recognition for his compassionate nature within the club. The Hollywood actor extended a helping hand to midfielder Anthony Forde, facilitating a second opinion from a different doctor after Forde received a diagnosis of an incurable brain tumor. The subsequent evaluation provided relief, revealing that the tumor was benign.

In July, Reynolds, fellow Wrexham co-owner, and Hollywood star Rob McElhenney sent well wishes and visited then-injured player Paul Mullin, who endured a punctured lung during a preseason matchup against Manchester United. Mullin revealed that the owners sent him a PlayStation to the Long Beach apartment where he stayed to help pass the time.

He further detailed that Reynolds offered to fly his entire family out, and McElhenney said he could stay with him in his Los Angeles home. They found an apartment for Mullins instead and even visited him.

The owners garnered acclaim for their kindness when McElhenney took a selfie with Millie Tipping, a dedicated supporter of the club who gained prominence through her appearances in their TV series, "Welcome to Wrexham." Millie's portrayal in the series highlighted her unwavering support for the team and offered a glimpse into her life as an individual with autism. The episode showcased her interactions with various players on the team, including Mullin, whose son also shares the experience of autism.
